Just got home from a birthday party for my granddaughter, and I wont be returning. This was the 2nd time I visited here, first time was 2 years ago, and this place has really went down hill. Upon arriving, rugs in lobby area, right in front of front desk, and in sitting area, were visibly in need of cleaning. Women's locker room was filthy, and no soap. Floors were not only wet (which is understandable at a water park) but very dirty as well, rubber mats in toilet stalls had toilet paper in between the treads, rust stains on floor next to lockers, and condensation dripping on me from corner of light above lockers, and dirty towels scattered across the floor. I informed the guy at the counter right outside locker room that it was in desperate need of a cleaning crew, and hour later, still the same, and it wasn't even that busy! Someone did go in before we left and picked up and placed bar soap on the sinks. Another thing that really bothered me was the lockers. You pay $2 for a token to use the lockers, and when you open them your greeted with the scent of mildew and dirty feet, locks were starting to corrode from all the moisture. A little Lysol would go a long way in those lockers! The pool area itself was ok, the staff I encountered there were friendly, however our party host, I didn't catch her name (long blonde hair in a ponytail) never smiled once. She met our basic needs, but sure wasn't a happy person. We stayed until they closed, it was then that I figured out why locker area was so dirty, they spent about 10 minutes if that, cleaning it, and I saw no disinfectant with them anywhere! The cake they served at the party was good, pizza mediocre at best. With more than a couple water parks an hour away, this surely wasn't worth the money my daughter spent! I would suggest retraining your employees on how to clean effectively , and brush up on their customer service skills! Also, some people were swimming in their clothes, I didn't even get in the water.

Today I set up a trip with my daughter to halve some time together and decided to do something different. So we headed to the water park.As we started the round of the park found out very quickly that the water temperature is very cold, I mean it, all the parents are staying dry due to the cold temperature in the pools. Even the Jacuzzi has moderate to warm temperature. This is no way to charge that money to hace water that is not enjoyable, specially during the winter time.I would have a hard time coming back and not recommended at this time.

my 2 year old son and his three and four year old friends greatly enjoyed it but for myself and the other adults it was small and boring compared to Kalahari. quite expensive for what you get but my son got in free

Kids (teens) had fun. Water state of emergency in the area, so they couldn't supply towels. Did not have the overwhelming chlorine smell that some indoor places have.

Ms. Kim- Department of Agriculture and Health Department came out to test the water for any contaminates and reported none found. Department of Agriculture was also at Splash Bay on Friday, February 28th, for a monthly water quality check and there was nothing to report from those tests. Splash Bay tests the pool chemistry every 3 hours (recommended every 4 by state) to ensure the water quality. The facility uses a sand and UV filtration system to remove contaminates introduced into the pool by the public; furthermore, the HVAC system has an exchange rate of 90% every 20-25 mins. As previsouly stated, Splash Bay and now county/state agencies do not show any red flags that would indicate the medical conditions reported by your Cub Scout Pack (ONLY) caused by Splash Bay. I have not withheld any information at any point in time from you and am just reinforcing previsouly stated statements. If you require any further information, please do not hesitate to contact Splash Bay via email.

Our group of 5 stayed at the Holiday INN Maumee for the first time on July 19th. We booked the package to include the water park and were so glad we did. The rooms were beautiful, the employees were helpful and nice to everyone and we all had a BLAST at Splash bay. We traveled from Michigan to visit the Toledo Zoo but were weary of booking the room online. it was everything we expected and more!! the only problem was we found so many other things to do that we didn't have time for! Winning the package for free park tickets would allow us to book another room there and visit Toledo another time to fit in some of the other destinations we sadly passed up due to time restraints. would recommend to anyone in the area or passing thru. one of the best mini vacations we have ever had!!!!!

We went with some friends from cub scouts. We had never been there before. It was great so much to do! We stayed from open til close. Good food, nice and clean water park. I never knew we had something like this so close to home.

This was so much fun, something for all ages, from little 1 or 2 year old (or younger) to Adults! Stayed and played all day! Friendly staff too!

This review is only for the waterpark "Splash Bay" associated with the hotel. We live nearby and did not stay at the hotel. My family spent a Saturday afternoon there recently and we couldn't wait to leave. Never again! There is nothing to recommend this waterpark. As other reviews have noted the changing/bathroom area is tiny and dirty. There is one bench large enough for 2 people, some rusty lockers and that's about it. The park itself is smallish but it was crowded that day. There were not enough lockers, chairs, or tables, and they were out of towels. People not in the water were standing around looking for a place to put their stuff and sit down. Worst of all the water was cold! We went there for half price using Groupons but it wasn't worth it at even half price. For not that much more, you could go to the Kalahari waterpark in Sandusky which is 10 times bigger, 10 times cleaner and has plenty of lockers and seating no matter how crowded they get.
