bass river state forest

Have been there when we didn't feel like going to the ocean. It has a good size lake with plenty of lifeguards in the swimming area. Good for little ones to enjoy themselves. It has quite a bit of people using the campsites during the year. There are trails to walk for nature lovers. Seniors can sign up at the Rangers station making it free admittance and parking.
