El Dahar是当地人购物的地方。都是一些迷你市场,卖的东西比你在酒店或者酒店周围的便宜多了。如果你想找餐厅、酒吧等地方,那这里不适合。应该再沿着路走,到Sheraton路,这里更针对游客。

如果你想看看真正的埃及人是怎样生活,购物,砍价还价的,那就来这里体验吧。如果你就想呆在舒适的酒店里,喝着免费的酒,吃着东西,不想感受当地真正的文化,那我就会感到奇怪你为什么还要来,不体验当地的风土人情,那你还来这里做什么。这里的人们性情各异,活力四射,他们对生活充满热情,他们在这里生活,养家。如果你幸运的找到一家热情的人,你会发现这里有你需要的一切,而且价格合理,老板也热情。感到危险过?从来没有,8年来我来过这条窄窄的街道好多次,每次都感觉非常安全,受欢迎。经常我们都是唯一的欧洲人在当地的街道游览。如果你觉得走的有点偏了,感觉不安全,那就只沿着El Memsha或Sekalla路走,那里有很多酒吧和夜总会,里面有当地的埃及人在消遣,那就加入他们吧。

位于市中心,很热闹,有很多和真正的埃及人交流的机会。不过可能会无聊,每隔7米就有人向你推销东西。是了解埃及生活的好方式-这很穷,而且经常很脏。

如果你觉得你没有心情让一堆店家一个劲儿的强行试图把你拉进他们的店里去买东西的话,那你还是别麻烦自己来尔达哈了。反正这里地方很小,也没什么东西可看的。

请尊重当地的居民,穿着能遮住膝盖和手臂的衣服。他们就是以这种方式表示对你更加的尊重。在每个地方都要讨价还价,千万别放弃!只要稍稍努力一下,你就可以轻而易取地得到百分之五十到七十的折扣。去当地的杂货店逛逛——那里的价格对当地人来说真是便宜得让人难以置信,只是别期待工作人员会说任何英语:)

I had read some great reviews of El Dahar and so we took a taxi from the hotel to the old town of Hurghada and pre booked the return trip. I'll admit, we weren't that prepared and didn't even have a map with us but from the minute we left the cab we were just hassled for money. As two women travelling together as well as the only two apparent tourists wandering around the area, I understand we were bound to attract attention but I had no idea how hassled we would be by people. Practically every shop owner wanted us to come in but if we did then of course the expectation was that we'd buy and if we didn't then the encounters became rather unpleasant and 'edgy'. This was not the friendly banter and bartering I'd experienced in Morocco, for example. I wasn't expecting a Disney-fied version of Egypt but I was equally not expecting a war zone of an area.

This is the old Hurghada where you find the foodmarket, but also the tourist market. By the mosque you can see the day workers sitting and waiting for a job with their tools.

Nothing special. If you want to experience a real Egypt go to Luxor. You will see real Egypt in Qena (town 50km from Luxor) from the bus.

Instead of just staying within the confines of your hotel complex, get out into the 'real' Hurghada and hit El Dahar for an afternoon of markets, crazy roads and astonishing sights. There are a number of impressive buildings and no end of interesting shops and market stalls. The food markets are the best. You won't regret it.

This is an old center of Hurgada, where all tourist city starts in early 90x. Today, tourist center moved out and here you can see mostly local life. You surely should visit flea market and fruit market - it is amasing and wonderfull to see this places and this people.

Arrived here off bus from El Gouna, many shops selling many wares. It's a cheaper location for buying presents etc, replica t- shirts of good Egyptian cotton and some very well made. Not many bars but quite a few eating houses from Italian to obviously Egyptian. The main road is very busy, so be careful, many cars driving without lights which is common here, but can't make out why. Well worth a visit.

If you have been only in hotel resort in Hurghada, and you didn't visit this part of Hurghada, you can't say that you have actually been there. More egyptian and african, but safe and cheap (but still depends of the shop).

See El Dahar as it is, travelled here by local bus from El Gouna, see real Egyptian life as it is. Hustle and bustle of a town. Prices very reasonable for drinks etc, bus fares cheap, very safe to walk about, plenty of shops selling their wares. Take a taxi from there to Hurghada , must do.

...an absolute must see...love it, this is Egypt not like Disneyland for adults on Mamsha...good for a shopping tour and come back down with the feet on the ground...

sit down in a café enjoy an arabic coffe and just watch the buzz of everyday life. Donkey wagons and people leaving for work, school or prayer. and housewifes shopping or taking a break in the café with girlfriends - the real Egypt passes by unaffected
