I turn an 80 foot vessel around in Ego Alley a couple of times during the summer without a bow thruster and would say that is the max size you would want to try to do this with and make sure no large vessel is tide up at the end for this cuts down on turning radius.

Ego Alley is just that, a little waterway that people use to show their boats off during the boating season; in the winter I have seen small boats moored there for safety. Water taxis can take you from your boat in the harbor to the alley so you can walk around downtown or go to a restaurant. If you are on foot, you can walk around this tiny area to look at boats up close, or laugh hysterically is someone with a larger boat tries to turn around in the alley only to find that there is not sufficient room to do so. If you are on the Bay, my suggestion would be to contact the Harbor Master to make sure you can do whatever you want to do with your vessel, you do not want to end up one of those vessels that is the subject to the laughter roars of the public.

We visited on a weekend getaway from the snow of Pa. This is such a cool place in the middle of town , we just were out walking at night and came across all the boats . We grabbed a coffee and hot tea and enjoyed a walk along looking at the beautiful boats. Such an interesting site in such a cool town !

If you are in downtown Annapolis, stop by Storm Bros Ice Cream and sit down my the water. Evening and weekends especially you will see boats of all sizes but usually real large and expensive cruise in,take a while to make the turn around and head back out. On popular weekends, the same boats can be seen making a few trips. It's a good time for enjoying the view and do some both people and boat watching. If you are lucky, you might get to see one of the tall ships as they cruise the bay or around the world.

This was really nice to see all lit up. There is one sailboat that is decorated in the theme of "A Christmas Story" complete with a 10 foot leg lamp. Downtown Annapolis was very busy the weekend after Christmas.

Ego alley , where all the testosterone driven boats get turned around in a dead end , for no other reason other than to show off .... Its great . right in the center of Annapolis and you simply cant miss it. Buy a beer, sit on the quay and watch the free boat show parade. It will make you smile .Such a good thing to do for a few minutes.

Right off of Main Street, there are a lot of restaurants, bars and nice stores. This is a good place to walk in a nice weather day.

Ego Alley is a central gathering point in downtown Annapolis within steps of the many shops and restaurants in this beautiful town. It is fun to watch the crazy boaters try to maneuver in the small space, and you get a closeup view of the yachts of various sizes that park there. There are often various musicians playing and on recent Friday nights, a blues / Motown group has created an impromptu Friday night jam session with dancing. And if you love dogs, this is your place. You will see and can pet every size, shape and breed of dog in this very dog-friendly city. Can't miss this - literally in front of you -- while in Annapolis.

It's called "Ego Alley" for a reason. But it is surrounded by lots-o-food and places to sit. Go for the ambiance, and if you are lucky, some big yacht will venture in and have a **** of a time getting out. Amusing.

I have always enjoyed walking along the pier even in the colder months, there is a great little Crepe shop on the corner to get a bite to eat.

Sit and watch the puffed out chests and decadent boats as they go in out of the dock. Fun to watch up them mess up and need help! Or fall getting in and out of the boat.

It's not only a terrific spot to enjoy the water. For boaters, it's the place to see and be seen. A real heart of Annapolis and a must-see. Great in the summer and an amazing spot during the holidays when owners decorate their boats. Great fun.

This is just a nice relaxing thing to do...sit and watch the boats come in and out of EGO Alley, even if you're not into boating. There is a small plaza to sit at and you can lick on an ice cream cone while day dreaming about owning one of those yachts parked nearby, lol

Ego Alley is the public dock area of Annapolis harbor. Boaters from all over the world guide their boats through this narrow waterway to find a place to dock or just to let everyone see them in their boat. It is fun afternoon is to sit in a cafe on the dock, enjoy a crab cake sandwich and adult beverage and watch the non-stop parade of boats glide. Half the fun of boat ownership on the Chesapeake Bay is to go to Ego Alley and show off your boat. There is no cost other than parking and the price of lunch or dinner.

We were told to check out Ego's Alley while visiting in Annapolis. It is fun to watch the different boats travel this alley. A must see...big boats big egos..
