What a beautiful, amazingly-restored home.....and the gardens will certainly add to your enjoyment too. You can tour the gardens free of charge, but do yourself a favor and take a guided tour of the Wm. Paca Home, which includes a tour of the home and time (on your own) in the gardens.(Tour price is $10/person, but there is a $2/person discount flyer right in the entrance hallway). It's unbelievable how beautifully both the home & gardens have been restored. We were very fortunate to have Janet Hall as our tour guide. Our tour actually was a bit longer than the usual hour time length........too much to see & admire in the home......and Janet was obviously really enthused about being part of it. So often, guided tours seem to go on forever, but this one ended much earlier than we wanted. We particularly enjoyed hearing about the restoration of the garden area, as sometime in the past, it had been totally covered by a huge parking lot that had been built for a hotel that was erected behind the Paca House. AMAZING to see how they rediscovered the gardens and totally restored them to what they had been during the 18th century!!!!Tours were being scheduled at the half hour when we visited there and there were a number of them offered throughout the day. We highly recommend that you tour this beautiful site.........so much history of the area to be learned if you do!

Enjoyed the guided tour of the house and strolling the gardens on our own after. Always love to see history preserved and commend their efforts to do so. The gardens seem like a beautiful place to have a wedding. Lovely place to spend a little relaxation time, too.

Visited this home with some friends while visiting this beautiful city. Leaned a lot on the tour. Our tour guide was Miss Jenna. She was exceptional.

Lenna Lane, a docent and Rich from the gardening staff made our visit to the Paca House the highlight of our trip to Annapolis. Both were knowledgeable and generous in giving us the answers to our questions. Their dialogue didn't sound hackneyed and they were obviously interested in engaging with their guests

Beautifully restored home and garden with painstaking care for authenticity. Grab a flyer from the visitor's ctr or booth and get a $2 discount. Reg admission is $10. You can also get just a garden ticket for $5.00. Horticulturist in the garden was very informative on unique varieties of herbs and other plants.

This garden was a real little gem. It is a beautiful recreation of Paca's original garden, in a formal 18th century style. Just lovely!

Just to hear about the heroic restoration alone is worth the trip. Excellent guide. Knows a lot about the house and answered all questions. But the gardens are unbelievable. Wonderful. Worth the eight dollar admission.

"Hidden Gardens" in Annapolis. We had our Memorial Day weekend wedding reception in the garden. The house and garden are amazing. many of our local guests didn't know about the gardens behind the historic home. The home and gardens are a must tour while in Annapolis. The home was William Paca's a singer to the Declaration of Independence.

Beautiful gardens although the heat of the day kept us from too much wandering there. Nice little gift shop, well priced. Mansion tour was excellent and interesting. Good attention to period detail. Well trained, articulate and friendly docent -- great job Rachelle!

Perhaps my expectations were too high. After all, we visited near the garden end of August. (I should note that we did not tour the house, only the garden). There's a $5.00 charge per person to enter the garden. It took us perhaps 30 minutes to walk through it. Described as a British formal garden by the lady working there, aside from the design of the garden there wasn't' much else that resembled the formal gardens that I have visited in England. There was little colour. Summer flowers were sparse. It was disappointing but as I mentioned we visited near the end of August; I expect that in the spring and early summer more colour from the roses would make the garden more vibrant.

I visited the William Paca Garden during a guided tour of Historic Annapolis. The William Paca House & Garden is a National Historic Landmark, restored by Historic Annapolis to its colonial-era splendor.

Our tour of the William Paca House and Garden was a delightful experience. The tour guide for the house did a wonderful job of explaining how the house was used when the Paca family lived there, and how the house and garden were restored from their earlier existence as a hotel and parking lot. The garden is in the old English style with its tiered gardens. The fish shaped pool is interesting. The house was restored to it original Georgian style when the Paca family lived there. Our tour guide had many stories (whether true or not is up to you) of events and happenings that took place in the house and in Annapolis during the period in which our country gained its independence. It was a very enjoyable tour. The house tour is about 30 minutes. The gardens you can tour on your own.

The ladies were very gracious when asked questions, even though they were very busy, the grounds are stunning.

We enjoyed our tour of the gardens (at our own pace) than got to go on a tour with an informative and passionate docent that made the building and it's long - ago residents come to life.
