The American Market at National Harbor runs from May - October, I believe. From 10am - 5pm every Saturday and Sunday according to the flyer that was provided by my hotel. There were fresh fruits and vegetables on sale, handmade crafts and jewelry, fried oreos and funnel cake, popcorn and lemonade vendors. It really was a nice, slow-paced way to spend an few hours with the kids. There was a balloon artist and young lady on stilts - kids loved it! Definitely a must-do when in National Harbor on weekends.

The vegetable vendor has quite the selection! I can't wait to go back next season! There was definitely a lot to check out!

Lots of vendors to visit and talk to. The venors are really nice; my favorite so far is "Puddin", which sells the best hot butter boubon bread pudding that I have ever experienced. There is a mix of vendors (hand made jewelry, farmers market, kettle corn, cakes, breads, art, hats and such. I discovered that I love honeycrisp apples here. It's always busy and thriving with wonderful smells. A nice place to stroll and indulge!

Bunch of restaurants and bars, kids museum wasn't a museum at all, just a bunch of toys on carpets. The waterfront was beatiful and the PEEPS store was a lot of fun for the kids

Once this gets up and running, it will be a great farmer's market. Right now there are about 20 vendors comprised of local farms and artists. There is also a desert vendor, and a fresh bread vendor. My favorite was the crocheted hat booth -- the young woman makes the coolest flapper-style hats. Items a little more expensive than your average farmer's market, but the quality is high and the items are fresh and unique. Parking is available in the same lot as the market; it's about $1/hour. There are several other parking garages nearby. This will be an asset to the area!
