To stand in the building were the space crafts and rockets are made is breath taking. My wife and I took a tour round NASA and looked at space flight and how it has changed through the years. We looked at the conditions Astronauts had to endure and I wondered what type of people were able to do these things. There is loads of information regarding everything America has put into space and stories of the courageous men and women who went on these incredible journeys. Standing beside the redundant Challenger Shuttle was incredible to say the least, but I was so happy to have taken the time to come to the space centre. If you are in the area don't pass by this place. Go in and spend a few hours and you will come out totally amazed.

If you're a Aerospace/Science lover, this is the place to see.It has a rocket garden, a HUGE spherical video display and tons of space education-makes your head spin! Allow at LEAST 90 minutes time. There's so much to see, it's worth another visit the next time we are down there again.

free yet small, could be larger other NASA facilities are larger and more attractions. Parking is free and right off 295

The place is small. Not too much to see.... only has a few exhibits. There's a handful spacecraft static displays, but mostly rockets. Seems like the place is designed more for school kids on field trips, as the exhibits dictate. The souvenir store is interesting though.

Well, the visitor center is OK, the surroundigs looks kind of old but the real gem is the shop! So many great items and clothing. If you are from Europe (or Africa, Asia ...) you can buy perfect gifts here and you will impress everyone!

We added this on to our trip and upgraded to lunch with an astronaut. It was a truly informative day with lots to do. You can break this day in to 2 halves keep as one complete day as we did. The meal was absolutely excellent as was the astronaut that spoke to us. A really good day

Stop take a look and ponder the stars and planets. Good place for the family. Plenty of displays, and staff to answer questions. group tours can be arranged.

I was just here for a rocket launch the first Sunday of every month, and am always impressed by the quality and breadth of the displays that have been packed into a very small space. As noted by others, this only takes about 2 hours to go through, but as a side trip or just to say you've been to Goddard, this is very nice. A nice gift shop, friendly staff and you can fly your own (small) rockets with the local rocket club every month!

The NASA Visitor Center is a small place of wonderful exhibits. It's good place to educate children and adults about astronomy and space travel and exploration. It's just the right museum for an hour or two educational trip. It's not overwhelming to look at the exhibits unlike the huge museums where you need to go for several days just to study all the displays. I highly recommend this place for aspiring scientists and interested learners.

A lot of nice and unique gifts to purchase for yourself, children, or others. T-shirts, toys, astronaut food, children's space flight suits, jewelry, accessories.

Nice, compact, educational center. Learn a lot in a short timeabout the great work NASA has done. Space exploration is one of the most important endeavors of the USA. Nifty little gift shop next door. Buy the kids a NASA t-shirt!

We just got an hour to see the place which I found was far too less. It was amazing to see aircrafts of various vintage including the wright brothers aircraft. The space utilisation in keeping the aircrafts was another lesson.
