We have our family reunions there every year. There is a pavilion that is covered and public restrooms as well as some slides and swings for children. The park is nice to wander around as there is a fishing peer and some pretty walks.

Have lived here and visited the park for so many years, bringing three children up to adulthood experiencing the park. The DNR staff are incredible, great camping areas, wonderful little amphitheater, fun fishing, fun biking, and a wonderful fitness trail. Make sure you visit the small and unassuming visitor's center (if it's open). Thanks to good ol' George Martinak for his gift of this little jewel.

My husband and I discovered this place in the spring. We camp with a 27 ft travel trailer. The spots are all level and easy to back in to. We love that we can walk down to the Choptank River and fish. This is a basic, no frills, state park campground. Electrical hookups only. We enjoy camping for weekends, since we have to fill the fresh water holding tank (no water hookups). Dumping station is easy to get to. Nice playgrounds for the little ones (except the ones in the camping loops, they're very dated). We love the area and enjoy going to St. Michael's for the day (45 min.) or Easton. The best part is the price!

We were in the town of Denton Maryland and decided to look around to see what we could find. We drove to the state park and were greatly surprised. Although it appeared to be a small state park it was full of beautiful leaf covered trails, playgrounds and quaint little cabins. They also have a waterfront picnic area with barbecue pits. The fall foliage was amazing and we will return in warmer weather.
