Cormier Woods is a great place to hike as a family or take the dogs for a walk. You may see wildlife.

First time visit this January and was immediately impressed. The Trustees always have such nice properties. We walked the red trail (1.4 miles) and blue (.6) and both trails were very well maintained and well marked. The terrain is mostly wooded with some nice rock outcrops and a few streams to cross. The perfect amount of elevation for light hiking. The blue trail takes you to the homestead ruins, which are still in amazing condition. Throughout the trails you will see many rock walls that remain from the former homestead farms. There is also a yellow trail (.4) which I look forward to exploring my next visit. Next to the parking area, there are open meadows and a picnic table. This looks like a great birding spot for Spring time. Overall, a very enjoyable spot for outdoor adventurers and worth seeking out.Dogs allowed. Hunting in season present.
