Beautiful spot, nice trails wide enough for beginner bikers. Great for walking, hiking and running. Nice elevation if you want it with free views of Boston and surrounding areas. There is a reservoir too. Just wish they had some maps...parking is fee!

I've done Lynn Woods a couple of times, and it's been great each time. (Never the winter, but spring, summer, and fall are great!) Plenty of trails, depending on what/where you want to go. I've done scavenger hunts in the Woods, and history treks, exploring the witch's tower and pirate's cave. Lots of fun.

I grew up around the lynn woods from playing basketball in the court or touring the woods with dungeon rock and stone tower and hanging around the water. It is a very peaceful place and great for almost anything!

Over all lynn woods are very nice.Just as one would expect there are trees and wildlife. There are also wily teens walking around the out skirts and the occasional homeless person.Nothing dangerous, just very interesting.

Great place to walk your dog, ride your horse or take a long walk. A history of buried pirate treasure!

Go on a nice day and have a good pair of walking shoes on! There are miles and miles of trails. Make sure you have a map (print one from online or grab one at the entrance). Unfortunately Dungeon Rock was closed (a resident told me that it's often locked up now). Beautiful nature setting not too far from downtown Boston. There are multiple trails so I do not know how they all are, but definitely keep a look out for numerous large rocks that you will probably trip over.

This is one of the oldest areas used by early settlers after the Pilgrims landed. I lived on the western edge. Besides a great place for a leisurely stroll, there are two structures of historical note and the tale of pirate treasure at Dungeon Rock.

I grew up within a mile from the entrance, played hockey in the woods behind the rose garden. Nice place to hike 0r strole, plenty of trails. Dungeon rock and it's history a good take.

I grew up just outside of Lynn Woods. It has always been a charming place to do a short hike or a more challenging mountain bike ride. Plenty of parking and no charge. This is very popular with local mountain bikers and with good reason. Its scenic and at times very challenging. The views from the highest peaks will give you a full view of Boston skyline. A treasure.

Great place, plenty of parking. Scenic trails. Can be used year round, great for dog walkers, trail runners and mountain bikers. No fees involved. Also, cross country skiers. While there be sure to visit the stone tower and dungeon rock.

Wonderful place to hike and bike (not for beginners so much) in Lynn. Get away from the hustle and bustle and forget you are so close to Boston for a while.
Bammie6
Great hiking trails, Dungeon Rock, Wolf Pits, Rose Garden, Stone Tower with great views all within the city limits of Lynn!

The second largest municipal park in the US, Lynn Woods is 'hidden' in the suburban North Shore of MA. Full of wildlife, walking/hiking/biking trails, and views of the coast and Boston. Cultural events (music festivals, plays....) are also held in some of the open areas.

Wooded trails with lake views (sorry no swimming it's a reservoir), look carefully and you may see deer, coyotes, fox, hawks and owls. There is a cave and a pirate legend and a stone tower to fuel your imagination. Also near a public golf course with great views. Easily accessible from routes 1 or 128.

One of the best walks in the woods I have ever found. and very close to a major metropolitan area - As soon as one leaves the parking lot one is in the wilderness. There are great trails. Easy terrain together with moderate trails - the tower is recently open to a higher level so on can get a good view.
