Food ran out and wasn't heated or cooled properly. Boat is dark inside and depressing, many machines didn't work. Stay home save your money.

This is a copy of the email I sent to the Aquasino (Casino Cruise) owners:To owner/manager of Aquasino:A group of 10 friends plus myself sailed on Aquasino last month and I have MANY comments/observations of why we were NOT impressed with our cruise and would not go on it again in its' current state:COMMENTS/OBSERVATIONS:•Many of the clientele were very rowdy and similar to a "BOOZE CRUISE" crowd, as many people were dressed shabbily, getting drunk, tempers were flaring (and eventually a fight or two broke out).•The buffet kept changing its' menu mid-stream with items that were not present when we first got into line, but wished we could have tried...which made us believe that the kitchen was running out of food. Also, silverware and napkins were at a premium with NO knives available almost the entire time we were in the dining area. It seemed better communication was needed with the food stations.•Although there were quite a few slot machines in the casino...many of them were "out of service". •Not enough waitresses clearing off tables on the Sun Deck...as well as not having enough tables.•Music with a DJ singing along to "Karaoke music" was only played before the casinos opened, and then returning to dock. Also, the DJ allowed the age 21+ crowd to take over his stage and microphone.•Extremely long lines and waiting time for drinks at the Sun Deck bar before the casinos opened. •Unprofessional "in-fighting" and arguing between co-workers.•Bathrooms were in dirty and almost flooded (and were not attended to...just like a Booze Cruise).SUGGESTIONS:•Although you want to offer the gambling public a "casino cruise" as a viable alternative to Foxwoods or Mohegan Sun during the summer months, you have to realize that you can also offer your product as a "moonlight cruise" to the non-gambling public as well... with good quality food, cocktails, and music.•Generally, we thought the food was good, but at the same time still could have been even better.•If you want to offer a better product and attract a "mature" crowd, then you need to almost double your price with ALL tickets including the buffet (no choice) and improve the food quality, bring in a live band or professional DJ, and enforce a STRICT dress code (no shorts, t-shirts,flip-flops, baseball caps, etc...you get the idea). People will pay the money if you can offer them a decent product.•Music continuing throughout the ENTIRE cruise time from push-off to docking, and pipe in that music (whether a live band or DJ) up to the Observation Deck too so people up there can enjoy it, as well as putting some "portable" tables and chairs up there because many people had nowhere to sit outside in the nice wether after the casinos closed.•I think the some of the other observation issues I mentioned above are "easy fixes" through better management.Thank you

My experience was so horrible, bad, and scary! I was at the point, I feared for my safety, they were attempting to intimidate me, and harassing me. Dealer offered to "front" me, one guy said to me, "come with me" (I was not going anywhere with anyone BY MYSELF) No one ever identified themselves. Some guy, maybe a type of manager, called at least two different people, "I know the head of my security". I took pictures of them. I will be posting my story and pictures on FB, Twitter, Lynn Item, Readit.com, Yelp and anywhere some can see and not have to experience what I went through. Karma got them good, because ship has not been out since the Wednesday after the Friday I had the most horrible experience Ever!

My husband and I went the other night. Not worth spending your money. Food is terrible, entertainment poor and just a rotten atmosphere on an old boat. Dealers are inexperienced and are clueless in playing the games. Much better to go to CT. The previous boat was much better. The management has a real attitude and could care less about the customer. I'll go out on a gamble this business will be closed by next year.

We went on the Aquasino gambling ship because of all the raves from our friends who went as a group the week before. We went on the morning cruise (11 am -5 pm) We paid an extra $20 for the buffet. The buffet was not worth the money. It was okay with breakfast on one side and lunch items on the other. The selection could have been better. But we did not go for the food and could have eaten all we wanted. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The ship seems to be maintained well. Drinks were reasonably priced. Slots were average. We hit some small pots but put it back in. The win out of the trip was that it was a beautiful New England summer day and we basked in the rays of the sun on the deck of the ship. We enjoyed ourselves and will return.

Ok, so I had my first experience on the Aquasino. This is going to be a long review for two reasons. The company is new and there isn't much feedback for them yet. And also there are only two other reviews, and I know that I was hoping to be more informed before I went, so I would like to pass along as much info as I can to people who might be thinking about going. Let me preface this review by saying that any criticism is constructive, and I am really rooting for this business to succeed, as I can see myself frequenting it.Once you park you can go buy your ticket, or if you already have a reservation, can proceed to the boat. Keep in mind that you can board up to one hour before the ship leaves and that the gates close 15 minutes prior to departure. Once you're on the boat, you are free to roam. I wish this were explained to me when I got on. I wasn't sure if we were allowed to walk around, or if we were confined to a certain area since the casino part was closed. When people board, the staff should let people know where certain things are on the boat (e.g. "There are bars on the first and third floor, the buffet is on the second floor, and the sun deck is open with live music, and food and drinks") But know that you are allowed to walk around anywhere in the boat, except for the casino floor where the table games are. Unfortunately, my immediate impression of the boat wasn't as exciting as it was for other casinos. People go to casinos for excitement, lights, sounds, etc. All of the slot machines were turned off, the lighting wasn't very bright, and there wasn't any music playing. There were just some people sitting around inactive slots, in a dimly lit room, having drinks from the bar. My recommendation to the owners of the boat is turn on the music, find a way to better illuminate some of the main areas, and try to make it more of a lively experience. My recommendation to customers is to head directly to the sun deck. You can sit outside and enjoy the cruise. I would also recommend the night trip, because then you get to enjoy the sunset. Up on the sun deck there was a DJ, and there was a full bar and a grill. The bar's prices and selection were reasonable (~8 for wine/mixed drink, and $4 for a beer). The grill is basic (hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken tenders, fries, etc) but it hit the spot. There is ample seating both at the many patio tables, and at the bar. I can't comment on the buffet that is also open on the boat because I didn't eat there, but will try it next time.Ok now to the fun part, the gaming. The casino doesn't officially open until you are in "federal waters", where it is legal. It takes about 75 minutes. There are several gambling areas on the boat, including several mini slot parlors, a poker room, and a gaming floor with table games. The slots range from $0.01, to $10. But from what I could see, the majority of the slots were $0.25 slots. But they were the old style slots where it was only a two or three credit max, so you're only betting between $0.50 and $0.75 per spin. The table games offered were blackjack, roulette, three-card poker, craps, and a few others. All of the tables, with maybe the exception of one, were $5 minimum bets. I didn't play poker, but the ship does offer several tables, mostly 1/2 NL Hold Em'. Just so you know the gaming areas are all air-conditioned, so bring a sweatshirt. I play craps, and the craps dealers (Jeremiah, Philip, and Grizz?) were awesome. I was the only one playing craps, so I got the table to myself. My only complaint was that at times, the boxman (Paula), could be a little unfriendly. I probably rolled the dice a couple hundred of times, and on the few rolls where one of the die didn't hit the wall, she would get all worked up and scold me. Given that I was the only person giving action to the craps table, and was tipping the dealers very generously, she should have backed off a bit. But all in all I had a great time, and came up on top. So you want to know the best part about the casino? Free drinks. While you're gambling (typically allowed for about three hours) you get free house drinks and beer. The casino doesn't currently offer any sort of player's club, but I introduced myself to some of the floor managers, and they gave me a VIP ticket for a free cruise. After the gambling hours are over, the ship makes the return trip of 75 minutes back to shore. During this time you can go back up to the deck and enjoy the music and grab something to eat or drink if you want. All in all it was a fun trip, and well worth the $13. Although it was enjoyable, it isn't perfect. This is understandable given the newness of the business. I sincerely hope that the owners of the boat listen to customers’ suggestions and complaints, because I really want them to do well, and want the experience to be even better. I will be back soon, and I hope that after I do, I can update this review to 5-stars.
