During the summer months, you can tour this building on Tuesday and Thursdays. Even you aren't lucky enough to get inside, take a walk all around the exterior and discover the intricate stone carving and metal work of this magnificent structure. If you are around on Sunday morning, treat yourself to the laid-back Unitarian Universalist style of services.

Along with other beautiful historic stone buildings in Fairhaven, the Unitarian Memorial Church leaves one in awe. Buildings of this kind are unaffordable to build today. Frequently members are around and so very pleased and proud to show you around. Don't miss this.

This beautiful church looks like it was transplanted from England, both inside and and out. The tours are a delight with explanations of the details of the design and the construction. A must see in Fairhaven.

We read in the guide to see this and City Hall. Both are magnificent examples of fine architecture. I don't know that much about styles but both buildings are treasures. The high school on Huttleston Ave. is also remarkable.

You are transported to England when you stand in this church. Simply gorgeous but hard to reconcile that traditional Trinitarian beauty with the simple beliefs of Unitarianism.

This church is beautiful! Call the office for times of the tours, usually in the summer time but I bet you might get one if you ask. Words do not do it justice go & take it all in!!!

Few people know that Fairhaven is the site of some incredible architecture commissioned by Henry Huttleston Rogers one of the richests men in America in the 19th Century. The Unitarian Church is one of the masterpieces that Rogers commissioned. It has as much detail and beauty as any gothic church in England and is well worth the visit even if it is closed and you are unable to see the intricate inside. While in town don't miss the library and the old Tabitha house. A walk through historic Fairhaven in worth your time.

This church rivals many of the famous cathedrals in Europe. This church was built in the honor of Henry H. Rogers' mother. It was dedicated in October 1904 and designed by architect Charles Brigham. Mr. Rogers was a wealthy tycoon who built many fine structures in Fairhaven and nearby towns. There is a free tour and just a short distance from the Millicent Library also built this patron's money. That is also worth seeing... Nearby by is Fairhaven High School ... and there is none like it in the U.S.

Fairhaven offers a variety of beautiful architecture and this is one of the best.

You will NOT believe the architecture on this Fairhaven church. Most Thursday afternoons, they give free guided tours inside. Absolutely amazing and stunning. Even if not open, take time to check out the gargoyles and doors from outside!

I'm not religious, but I do appreciate a beautiful church. Fairhaven is blessed to have had a benefactor back in the whaling days that gifted the town so many beautiful buildings- definitely worth a look!

Both the outside and inside of this church are gorgeous! Built over 100 years ago by a philanthropist in the area, the church was built and crafted by artisans from Europe when there was a recession and he brought them here to work and create a beautiful house of worship.
