We tried the sports park yesterday after the snowstorm. It was a lot of fun. Kids and parents had a blast. We also got some drinks and food in the pub upstairs. Typical New England ski lodge food. It was fine. Service was good. Beer was cold. One thing we felt was a bit annoying was that they don't allow any outside food or drink in the building. Now normally this makes sense to me but the food and drink being sold was upstairs and they had some plastic tables with some chairs from an old banquet hall downstairs. No service downstairs either. It's kind of set up like a small ski area and typically there is an area for people to brown bag it or at least hydrate the kids. That annoyed me a bit considering we paid $100 to tube for three hours. A place to sit the kids down for some snacks would be helpful.

We arrived and ate a leisurely lunch at the sports bar there before paying our money to tube and Zorb. They have a system where you are assigned to a 15 minute time slot for both the harness and water Zorbs. If we had understood this we would have paid and gotten a time slot when we arrived since the next open time slots were over an hour wait (just a suggestion if you are in the same situation). The food and drinks were good enough in the sports bar and you have a nice view of the hill that has the tubing and zorbing while you eat. We really enjoyed the tubing and went up many times. We got in the line for the Zorbs about 5 minutes before our time slot. We then waited about 45 minutes until we actually got into the Zorb. You wait next to the area where the tubes are pushed down so there is something to watch, but 45 minutes of waiting in the sun is a lot. As other people have mentioned, it seems like there is room for efficiency improvement in the system. But it was a great ride. My husband and I went with our 4 year old. She was very excited for it, but in the end didn't like the confined space.

I just completed the "Dirty Dash" this weekend at the Sports Park, I found it to be a great place to host a Mud Run or Obstacle Race of this kind. The terrain was a little rough but in a "I'm getting a nice workout" sense. I also thought that the scenery in the upper wooded areas was very nice and made for a great nature walk/run. I noticed that the park does do other everyday activities such as "Zorbing" which are those things that look like hamster balls to roll down hill in and some sort of slide/sled thing, it all looked like fun to me but I didn't get a chance to try it this time around, maybe next time...

I ran the Spartan Sprint there, in 2013. It's a very challenging course, but pretty interesting. Lots of elevations along the course, and they tend to be quite steep.

It is a pleasant, reasonably-priced tubing park that was not terribly crowded when we went (mid-week, during NH school vacation week). We got a $5/person discount for bringing in canned goods - a special they were running that week. I particularly liked how there were plenty of staff members to help push you off at the top and then also at the bottom to shield you from other incoming tubes as you made your way back across the lanes. I also liked how we could go down 2-4 people at a time if we wanted to.

Every once in a while we take our three families, 15 people plus the wife and I, to this tubing park. WOW! The kids, ranging in age from 5 to 18, all have a full day of complete FUN. The guys and girls that work here are all in great spirits and work hard to make everyone happy. We always manage to find someone at the top of the hill that will really click with us and give us a great spin or shove off the top. We can't recommend this place enough. Then we all head in to the lodge and have a bite to eat. Great food, great service and bear, wine and alcohol for the grown ups!If you have kids and they like sliding and the cold you have got to visit this place!

Great place if you are not a ski or snowboard person :-)! Lots of fun for the kids if you get on their mailing list yo may get before the season buy one get one free ticket (promo e-mail) and you can't beat that! I love going one or twice per season with the kids! The food is OK, and you can wait there for the kids until they go up and downhill for a few hours!

This review describes my Zorbing experience at Amesbury Sports Park, MA.Zorbing had been on my bucket list for about 5 years. We were finally travelling to a place that had a place to Zorb during the right time of the year -- Amesbury Sports Park, MA!We turned up for opening time on a weekday in September. After paying $20 and signing the paperwork in the restaurant, you get your ticket to Zorb. You then stand on a moving uphill walkway for what seems like forever in order to get to the top of the hill. (You're not allowed to 'walk' on the walkway, just stand). At the top, they instruct you to take off your shoes, which you place in a bag (The shoes then magically get transported to the bottom of the hill for when you arrive!). After strapping you in (around the ankles, over the shoulders and around the middle), they open the gate and the Zorb sets in motion! You hang on to handles over your head and go over and over approx. 20 times down the grassy track. There was a very 'g-force' feeling, so if you don't like roller-coasters, you probably won't like this! At the bottom, you get out and put on your shoes and that's it! (You can pay for another turn, but I took a 'We'll see what it's like' approach and once was enough for me!)I enjoyed it, but I think they could have made SO MUCH MORE out of it as far as marketing opportunities. It would be really great if they sold you a photo, video or T-shirt of the Zorbing experience. It was dead quiet when we went and the whole experience was a bit lack-luster andanti-climatic.The staff also seemed a bit 'over it'. However, it was a nice facility and I felt safe during the experience. If you found this review helpful, please click 'yes'.

Water tubing and crazy giant water balls attracted 4 boys, ages 12-16. It was a perfect place to take them on a hot day! They enjoyed making a tubing train, which helped them go faster! Of course they loved the giant water ball and would have taken multiple rides had the cost been a little more reasonable. We will also come back for winter tubing. A great area attraction!

This park has nice man made runs to tube down. It's a good place to go when the kids are bored especially on school vacations. They also tow you back up the hill which is a major bonus!

Thanks for taking the time to share your experience. MA school vacation week is our busiest time of the year, and we do our best to communicate wait times and peak times clearly to our guests. When the hill is at capacity, we invite guests to come inside so they don't have to wait in the cold. Typically, the quietest times to enjoy the Park are after 4 pm during holidays or vacation weeks, or during non vacation weeks - Thursdays and Fridays. Also weekend peak times are typically mid day, so first thing in the morning or after 4 pm are typically quietest. We hope to see you again soon!

Thanks for sharing your experience with us. We're glad to hear you enjoyed our staff and tubing hill. We experienced record breaking attendance this week, which was far beyond any reasonable projections we could have made. We called in extra staff to respond to the demand and reacted as quickly as possible. We hope that you will return to visit another time and can experience our Park when we are not at full capacity. Our team is considering your comments as we strive for 100% guest satisfaction.

I am well into adulthood and I had a great time snow tubing here. It is relatively safe and great for kids and adults alike. You do not have to climb the hill. Amesbury Sports Park has machines that take you up. Parking is free. There is a restaurant on-site with reasonable prices.

Amesbury sports park hosted a 60th Birthday party for us. What a great night we had, the kids tubed all night and the adults did karaoke. The owners were so gracious and a good time was had by all. We will most definitely return! Thank You Carol Anne

Enjoyed the tubing and waterball runs very fun, with my 10 year old son. Good beer, fair pizza. Seems like a very nice complex.
