9/11 memorial-acushnet

This is a small town that cares. The memorial is just, well spectacular in its design and statement. I remember the opening ceremony, I don't think there was a dry eye in the crowd.. Every branch of the service was represented. Veterans from WWII to Iraq and Afghanistan were present, as well as many state reps' and town officials. The people involved worked day and night to make this happen. Being there in small town USA makes one proud to be an American. When driving by you often see family's there, or just a father explaining to a son the events that took place on this tragic day..

Acushnet residents are so fortunate to have a beautiful memorial to the 911 victims in the center of town on the grounds outside the fire station.Congratulations to the cheif and firefighters for their hard work and dediction in bringing this memorial to the residents of the town.
