This little walk is a great trip any time of the year. I took two of the grandkids up Central and back down the Promenade. A great time was found by all. Just as it was with their mom and uncle when they were young.

Start at the Arlington and walk the Promenade until the end. Then, walk back along Bath House Row. You'll see volcanic stone and hot springs and then you'll see the bath houses that use the hot water. You can even tour a bath house or book a treatment. The path is stroller friendly and wide.

Do NOT use the parking meters - tickets are issued immediately upon expiration! Other than that, this is a very lovely walk. In the winter it was chilly, not crowded, steam coming out of hot springs, lovely trees, and chirping birds. Very nice place to walk!

I love this Grand Promenade. Everything about it, the entire area. I especially like the history of the area. As we walked I imagined the people in the past and how they may have lived and enjoyed the area. It is a gracious and charming stroll on this Promenade. We were there in November. I am sure it would be more beautiful in the warmer months with all the vegetation in the area.

We walked the promenade up and down and took some time to relax and just take in the fresh air. It was beautiful weather this past weekend (Dec 19-21) and was marvelous.

Always love taking a stroll down the promenade! This kids love it too, with plenty of room to run around. Very peaceful with great views.

My wife and I did not get to spend a lot of time in Hot Springs, but we did walk around the town and the Grand Promenade. We had a very nice walk and learned about the hot springs. There is a fountain that you can put your hand in the water from the springs. It is definitely worth taking the time to see.

A nice, moderate walk on the hillside behind Bathhouse Row. Paved, with very few stairs. Nice views of the springs.

It is a nice walk up a short hill, you can see the springs coming out of the mountain if you don't want to go all the way to the bath houses.

I love this path up behind Bathhouse Row! It's an easy climb and gives such a great perspective of the town. I try and do this walk each time I'm in town!

The grand promenade is a short walk of about 1/2 mile. The walk is above bathhouse row. There is greenery on the upper side but much of the lower side is the tops of buildings. Still is it a nice short walk. A few places you get a good view. It is well maintained by the National Park.

The Grand Promenade was a different way to experience the city. While not a blow-me-away experience, it was peaceful and beautiful and will probably be one of the main memories I'll take away from Hot Springs. It's free. However I don't think I'd visit it (or anywhere else in Hot Springs) after dark. Just a feeling I got.

When you visit Hot Springs, AR, do not miss the Grand Promenade. The hustle and bustle of Central Ave, although just a stone's throw away physically, is miles away in attitude and beauty. Whether you are there for a run, stroll, or a place to sit and reflect, it has a great calming effect. Tree-lined, with lots of floral plantings, the Promenade was a WPA endeavor begun in the 30's and finished in the 50's. It's the place to "get away from it all" in Hot Springs

This is a great place to stroll and get a gentle workout. It is beautiful in the fall and you can see the sites from a heightened perspective
