I boarded my two horses (rivers and sugar) at the OK Trading Post. I paid Denisa Malott the owner in advance on my boarding fee's. After I had major trouble with one of her live in hired hand Larry Logan. I was forced to get a order of protection against him. At court Judge King instructed me to contact Stone County sheriff to assist me with getting my horses removed from that location. Which I did. Stone county sheriff contacted denisa about my horses and I was told that they have been removed from the OK Trading Post. Sheriff advised me to file theft of property since my horses were not returned to me. I will seek legal actions against everyone involved in the theft of my two horses.

WAY over priced!!! We took an hour trail ride and were told we would see a pond and 2 lookouts. Well.... there was a stagnant 8 ft diameter pond and no lookouts. The guide did not talk to us but 2 times. The trail was covered in small rocks which the horses had a hard time walking thru. I felt terrible for the horses! They should have done a better job clearing the trails for the horses.

My wife and myself was visiting Mountain View this last July. I had the bright idea to go for a horseback ride (I had horses but not for a long time my wife had only ridden a few times in her life). We were the only riders for our tour, they gave us a young girl for a guide. At first I was disappointed at not have a guy for a guide but I quickly became impressed with our guide. She talked the complete trip telling us very interesting things about the native plants and animals. I enjoyed our ride so much we will probably go again on our next trip, this was our first time to Mountain View but we will be back many more. They use a platform to mount the horses claiming it is for the horses well being but I appreciated the ease of getting on.

This is a authentic family-run horseback riding operation that accommodates both inexperienced and experienced riders. The scenic trails in which they operate are some of the most beautiful country one will ever see within the Ozark mountains. They were very organized and open to scheduling for my family's request for an appointment that fit into our itinerary. When we arrived (all of us in our party), I told them that 6 out of 8 of us had never been on a horse in our life. They assured us that we were completely safe in their hands and guided each of us to a platform in which we all climbed upon our horses. They even allowed my daughter 11 years old to ride alone after some brief instruction. My 8 year old son's horse (Porkchop) was led by a lead rope by our guide. Our party had a guide in front and in the back. Both guides were extremely knowledgeable and patient with us "city folk" as we navigated not only our first time on horses, but also in some pretty rocky terrain and hills. They have several options to choose from such as 1 hour rides, 2 hour, 1/2 day with lunch provided, and all day. They may even have other options. We only did the 1 hour ride which was quite enough for my bottom after my first ride. However, I can tell you that my experience was so wonderful that we will never visit the area again without visiting the OK Trading Post. They are a great family and I hope that they stay successful for a long time.***The only suggestion that I would have is that they give a little more initial instruction before allowing someone on the horse. I think they would have answered any questions, but I didn't know what questions to ask if you know what I mean. There was one older gentleman that was pretty curt and irritated at our inexperience. However, they could clear that up with a 5 minute instruction period and demonstration in the beginning. ***Only bathroom is a LITERAL out house. That's how they do it in the mountains.Price is pretty cheap if you ask me - $20 for 1 hour ride
