Something for everyone! Great playgrounds for the kids, trails for bikes and walkers. Kid's fishing pond stocked with trout in winter and catfish in summer, and a large lake for fishing on the bank or in a boat. There is even live music on Sunday afternoons in the summer.

We use the park for walks , practicing baseball and softball and going for picnics. It is a huge park with plenty of room to run free for your kids

Overall a great park to take family to. Plenty of bbq grills. Nice big "lake" to fish. Very hilly, so you can expect a great workout run. They have a big clean and well maintained playground for kids, as well as a "fort". They have a small water playground that is open during the summer months.

This park has at least three playgrounds set around a beautiful large pond that is in the center of the park. The two newest play areas, provided by Rotary Club funds I believe, are very impressive. One is a "fort style" play area with lots of climbing and adventure-play opportunities, and the other has a very small "mini-water-park" area, small-child playground set, older-child playground set, several sets of swings, monkey bars, basketball court, various benches and nearby picnic tables, a couple larger places to have birthday parties, and nice bathrooms. These two areas are separated by a walking bridge that walks over a small section of the fishing pond. Our family loves this entire play area! There is an unpaved walking/jogging trail that goes around the entire park, and exercisers can also use the paved roads inside the park. If you have children and/or just want to get out for some activity in a nature setting, I highly recommend visiting here.

I generally go here to walk the trails. But if you are looking for a place for the kids to play then you've found it!! Great playground areas with modern equipment and close parking. If you are looking for a place to walk or jog then this too is good. The trail that goes around the lake is just the right length (2.5 miles) although there could be some improvements, just watch your step and it's fine.

Being in Northeast AR, everything natural tends to be beautiful, but Craighead is just a tad bit nicer than everything else. Definitely my favorite place to run in this part of the State.

The playgrounds for kids are wonderful! My grandson, who is a preschooler, recognized some classmates and was happy to enjoy some time with new friends. It seems the local residents enjoy the park on a regular basis. The restroom facilities were clean and nice. There are beautiful granite benches near one of the playgrounds we visited in memory of local residents. People seem to be respectful of the park property and appreciate the property. It is a beautiful place and they are so fortunate to live near this park. The only suggestion I would have is that people not feed the geese and ducks near the playground equipment. The lake is only a short distance and seeing people feeding the geese and ducks just a few feet from small children can be dangerous and frightening. They also leave feces all over the playground as they search for food. It's wonderful to see nature and enjoy feeding the birds, but they should be separated from the children and where they play.

My siblings and I stayed here with our significant others for an adult campout. The campsites were nice and well laid out. The bathrooms were clean and had good hot water in the showers. They have some nice looking CCC cabins and a group lodge that we were told is under a $500,000.00 renovation. Once that is done they are going to re do the cabins as well. We looked at the pavilions and they have a great set up for a reunion, party etc. Nice little lake to paddle boat or fish on. Overall this is a nice park with good things to offer. We would definitely come back and check out the cabins some time.

We camped here in a motor home and really enjoyed this beautiful well kept park. There is 50 amp hook up and city water. There is a dump station near camping area. There are 31 sites with blck top level pads and paved roads. Also, this park has 24 hour live in hosts. Bath house also has washing machines and dryers for $. Trees provided shade but couldn't use our directv - antenna worked. It's very relaxing and close to restaurants and shopping. We would definitely camp here again. There is also a 3 1/2 mile loop for walkers and joggers as well as a trail around the 5 acre lake. Best deal at $10 a day.
