hope community library gift shop

We stopped in Hope, Alaska because we were told this is the place to go gold mining! We found Gold Panning Peck! He was fantastic and showed us how to pan gold in his water tank. It was fun and he was out standing. We visited the Museum and had a great time learning about the old times. I love their wooden nickel due to it has the saying "There is Always Hope!" We drove around the town to see a Moose. We parked and almost walked up to the moose. I was within 10 feet and took a few pictures. The parking area near the water was a great place to stay or have a picnic! This is out of the way but a great place to visit.

Good book selection and local art work and crafts. Books included Alaskan history, children's books and gifts.
