The Eagle RIver Nature Center is well worth the visit !!! The trails take you through Alaska flora and fauna and often wildlife is plentiful !!!! It is well maintained but left natural !!! Pack a lunch and eat at the picnic tables ---- and a great place for kids !!!! Five dollars for parking ---

This place is a nice start of many great hikes, ranging from easy and short to long and harder ones.

Great views! Lots of easy trails/hikes. Make sure you go when visitor center is open. That's awesome too!

A great place to go for a short hike and to get a feel for the outdoors of Alaska without going far from civilization. Late summer/Early fall is a great time to see Salmon spawning. Glacier and mountain view. One of my favorite places in Alaska.

Came and spent a few hours here with the family. Love the displays and information in the nature center. Knowledgeable staff. Beautiful trails and gorgeous scenery. Quick and easy drive from Eagle River.

The Rodak nature trail is a very easy looped route past a beaver dam and a salmon viewing deck. It offers beautiful scenery and can easily be completed in less than an hour. Unfortunately the longer Albert Loop trail was closed for safety reasons due to bear activity.

A very beautiful section with nice easy trails. Mushrooms and lush vegetation.it rained which made our hike more memorable and did not deter us from going as far as possible.

You're in Alaska, what else to expect? Stunning views of the mountains, nature induced trails. There are many hiking trails and information posts on some of the trails. Opportunities to see wildlife possible when you hike into the observation deck overlooking the river. Very serene.

This hike is worth it! Alaska is so incredibly beautiful, you will have to see it for yourself! Be careful....we saw two black bears on our hike! What majestic beings!! It made the trip more memorable!

While the center is nice, the walk in the woods is the best part of the center. Our family had a nice time.

Very pretty landscape. Trails are not difficult or challenging. Relaxing and gorgeous. Perfect for a casual outing to chill out. We were fortunate enough to have 2 seperate bear sightings in our 1 hour visit. I 'think' that was luckier than average as I believe it is more common to see no bears.

This is a nice place, staffed by knowledgeable volunteers. The trails are mostly flat and take you to ponds where the salmon spawn and you can see salmon fry. Make sure you have a topped off gas tank as road construction can delay you for up to an hour. You will also need 5 dollars for parking( this seems to be true of most of these type of attractions in Alaska).

Eagle River Nature Center is a bit of a drive especially as there are road works for sections all the way but its well worth the effort in getting there. The super friendly staff will inform you of the best walks and any recent bear sightings. Pay the parking fee in the visitor centre and then enjoy. You will need some mossie spray and there are clean restrooms.

We hiked the short Rodak Loop and enjoyed it very much. Scenery is stunning and perfect for 'artsy' pictures. Plenty of mosquitos, but not bad if we kept moving. Visitor Center staff is helpful. Small parking fee and annoying construction on the road to the Center. Wish we would have brought snacks and more water and walked the Albert Loop. Maybe next time...
