We played in early March on a foggy day with a lot of dew the previous two nights. Despite the moisture, the course played dry. The fairways were still mostly brown but the greens were deep lush green and the ball rolled true. Make a reservation because they book up well in advance because of the value of their green fees. It's a pretty course with a lot of sand and fair amount of water, but is very fair and not tricked up. You'll have fun and enjoy the price.

While spending time in the Gulf Shores area we visited the Gulf Shores Museum. It is in a small building, but filled with history. From a Shrimper telling about his life to what happened when the area was hit with hurricanes. Well worth visiting.

Played Gulf Shores Golf Club with a friend. The staff were friendly and helpful. The course was in very good condition considering it was February. The course has lots of water and sand. It is challenging, but still fun. A nice course to play when in the Gulf Shores area.

I have played there before, and the course is always in top-notch condition. The greens are smooth, true, and hold surprisingly well for the area. I am most impressed with the facility, and the people are great as well. Hard to beat for a vacation area golf course!

Gulf Shores Golf Club has always been a fun place to play. After the renovation a few years back, this fun place is now one of the best conditioned and playable courses in the area. Ernie Smith and his crew has created a jewel in Gulf Shores.

I have played this course 11 times now at all different times of the year(Feb,March,May, August & November) and I'm astounded at what you get. When this place was private & owned by a subsidiary of AIG, it never cost less than $100. Greens are very very true, sometimes slow in the summer to help the pace of play. They can get fast in the late fall with speeds of 10+ on the stimp. Heavy bunkering, water ,wind & big slopes in almost every green make this a fantastic deal. I play it from the tips & my buddies play up tees. We all have a great time here. Cheap beer ($12 six packs) keep smiles going when looking for a disobedient golf ball. Sufficient golf shop if you need a tweak to your apparel or equipment. My 3 year old loves to see the fox squirrels. They're very domesticated but not pets. No touching.

$55.00 and worth it. no one up behind you no one working on the course and no rush to hit and go. we enjoyed this one over the over priced kiva dunes99

A great golf course. Always in excellent shape. Not as well known as some of the other local courses, but a hidden gem.

Played this course as the first of 5 for our first golf trip of the year. This was a great place to get back in the swing of things. Not too much trouble but good course to work your game. Generous greens and nice layout for all. Great range facility and nice to have range balls included in the fees. Good job GSGC! We will definitely be back!

Gulf Shores Golf Course is in excellent condition! This track has enough challenge for the big hitters and the senior golfers. Our foursome bought a couple of "6 packs" that let us play for $50 per round (a good rate for the area). The price included cart and unlimited range balls. The club house in undergoing renovation but still maintains it's services. The staff really shows that they care about you visiting their facilities!! Will play there again on my next visit.

We've played it several times so far this winter and always enjoy it. There is quite a bit of water but actually very little you have to cross. And of course, there is sand! Overall, it is very playable (from a senior woman's point) but still a challenge. The par 3's are all short from the red. Range balls included. They are working on a clubhouse remodel - moving the proshop to the main floor (assume snack bar and restrooms too). There are nice, "real" restrooms on the course. The little "bandit" squirrel that resides around holes 5&6 is a bold little bugger that has no fear - don't leave your cart unattended. I'm quite sure it's the same squirrel.

This course is easily maneuvered by the ladies. The scenery and wart around this course make it very pleasant even if golfers back up. Fairways are nice and long so accommodating many golfers is easily done.

My husband had a great day golfing there while on vacation. The guys ahead of us had a little trouble keeping their ball away from the fox squirrels, lol! They seem to want to go after them sometimes. The course was just lovely. I didn't golf but just rode along taking photos of the birds and scenary.
