Being someone whose idea of going out for drinks is just hanging out a bar that has a beer selection beyond common lagers and catching up with a couple of friends, Avondale Bar and Tap is an excellent place to spend an evening. Great ambiance, professional staff, and a solid beer selection make Avondale a really great and chill place to have a few drinks.

An adult atmosphere in a college town. What more can one ask for? Real glasses and beautiful decor. Drinks made by mature, experienced barkeeps. Conversation between colleagues, friends, and strangers. No big screen TV's blaring at you from every direction. It can get busy late night and therefore a little noisy but overall a pleasant gathering spot.

One must look for the entrance (just west of Toomer's Drugs) and venture upstairs for this little treasure; however, a sophisticated reward awaits those who are willing to look just off the beaten path. Nice atmosphere and service is very attentive. More seating would be nice but who really sits a party...
