This is a good place to get out and hike through nature. You can canoe around a pond that is loaded with cypress trees and if you feel like a real work out you can climb to the top of the fire tower and look out over the forest. We go at least once a year with family that lives in the area.

Perry Lakes Park is a must see while in Perry county. It is located less than ten minutes from downtown Marion and has a lot to do while there. Ranging from canoeing to biking to swimming, there is something for everyone! After walking for about ten minutes from the parking lot, there is a beautiful beach with a peaceful river flowing by. Overall, Perry Lakes Park has much to offer and is a perfect way to start or end a day in Marion, Alabama.
