I have traveled all over the US and this ranks right up with some of the best free dog parks across the country.

We stopped by the park on a road trip to Alabama, and the day we were there the large dog area was under construction / renovation. Therefore, I can review only the small dog area. However, it was still plenty large and had lots of shade and benches for people. There was agility equipment for the pups to play with and several poop stations to encourage pet owners to be responsible. Unfortunately, there were still quite a few rogue poops around the yard. The park has a nice water station, including clean bowls. We had a good time, though at noon on a weekday we were the only people there. It would be nice to have some other dogs to play with! The city has done a nice job with this park.

Bring your fido here and enjoy this nice park with great infrastructure. Free of charge, fenced, water for dogs, and benches for people. There is a river nearby. I saw people's pics on Instagram with their dogs being off-leashed in the river. Though I wouldn't feel comfortable letting my dogs off-leash due to a major road nearby. Bottom line: I would recommend to check this park out.
