From Gadsden to Chattanooga, you will experience many twists and turns with exciting views. State parks, lovely brow-side homes, and great places to eat. It has it all. A must for those who love country drives with a view.

First got on the Parkway from Ft. Payne and rode it to Mentone. After our stay in the little village we took that route to return to Gadsden. What a beautiful ride it is! Someday I hope to have the time to ride it further north past Mentone. Some of the prettiest Alabama scenery is on that road!

We didn't get on this drive in Gadsden, but will next time. We drove it from ft Payne. Very pretty, nice fall color. Very enjoyable .

We are in Gadsden often and I had been looking forward to driving and hiking from the parkway. I am sure that it is beautiful as you get farther from Gadsden, but the first 45 minutes is nothing but mailboxes and long driveways and the 15 after that, mailboxes and big homes blocking any potential view. We stopped at DeSoto State Park and did a short 1.5 hour hike recommended by a ranger. I don't know what happened but rather than old trees the area was brushy and the trees sparse. I am sure that this is a beautiful parkway and we look forward to driving the whole distance, but as far as a Gadsden attraction, it doesn't live up to the term attraction.

Got side-tracked a little from our "Longest Yard Sale" adventure and went to the very scenic and quiet Lookout Mountain Parkway. Nice change of pace and well worth the time we spent.
