As a huge Alabama fan since the 70s, finally being able to go to Fort Payne (their himetown) to pay tribute their successes, was a dream come true!If you are an Alabama fan, you will find the museum informational, as well as, enjoyable. Everything you've ever wanted to know about Alabama can be found out here. Not to mention, the gift shop had all sorts of merchandise for sale that any Alabama fan would wish to own. For me, it was like being a kid in a candy store because I didn't know what to look at first.Only thing better would have been to be able to "finally" meet Randy, Jeff, and Teddy!

They have recently updated the museum. If you like the band it is worth visiting. The ladies inside the gift shop are very helpful.

The biggest part of the fan club museum appears to be the gift shop. The place definitely could use some renovations. I think they recently updated to sign in the parking lot so maybe this will be the beginning of more renovation. The museum itself is interesting, filled with Alabama memorabilia and worth the admission charge.

Been there more than a few times. It appears to be deteriorating steadily. Lack of visitors I suspect. It could use some renovation and there is a smell in the theater. Fort Payne should have pride in the Group Alabama as well as the Group having pride in themselves. This place does not fully display that pride.

Last time I visited was 1985. I am so glad it's still open and i could share it with my son! Super nice people there. Loved talking Atlanta braves baseball with the lady in the gift shop! When she found out we were on a minor leAgue baseball road trip, she gave my 14 year old son the cd with the song Cheap Seats on it! The boys in the band have done great things and have been generous supporters of many charitable causes over the years. I met them in 1983 with a 10 year old boy who was battling cancer. They went out of their way to let him know how special he was and I knew then that I would always be grateful for the time they shared with him. I cried in the museum when i heard Angels Among Us and realized my young friend would now be 40. If u want to see a great building , hold out for the Coke Museum. If you need a few minutes to slow down and reflect on the good that can emerge from a little town in Alabama than this is your place!

I hadn't been to the Fan Club and Museum in years. I happen to be driving back through the Fort Payne area July 4 weekend so I decided to stop. I didn't seem to be the hot attraction it once was. Probably because the band isn't touring like they once did either. Once inside we shopped around a bit. I bought a tshirt and tote bag. The lady managing the store and museum was very informative. She stated she had been at the fan club and museum for 25 plus years. It was very enjoyable listening to the stories she told about concerts, concert attendees and some of the over the top fans the band has encountered over the years. We paid the few dollars to tour the museum part. It was nice seeing all the awards, musical instruments and memorabilia. The building isn't new but it isn't a dump either. It's easy to find and right off the highway. With any luck you might get to speak to the lady we spoke with and you will leave with a big smile on your face.

My mom is a huge fan of Alabama they were the thing to me the museum was pretty cool I could have cared less about what the building looked like in all honesty I didn't pay much attention to it. The gift shop has everything you could think of I was impressed by the band being with me being a teenager. In all honesty if your just rating on the building duh its old that's what the lady told us in the gift shop they are trying to work on it but to have a museum dedicated to the band and their fans what other band do you know that has their own museum like that I don't...overall I am rating this on how I took everything in being a teenager and worrying less about what the building looked like.

The building looks old and has water stained ceiling tiles and there is dust every where. Who takes care of the place and cleans the awards??? No one that's who!!The Lady in the gift shop was very nice. Besides her we were the only ones in the place. Put some money into fixing the place up and you might have more visitors.

The Alabama Fan Club may need to be renovated but there is still a lot to see and learn about. The Boys from Fort Payne come from humble beginnings and you get a good perspective on their journey. For the true Alabama fan, it's worth a visit.

I recently went by the ALABAMA FAN CLUB I couldn't believe the condition the grounds and the conditions of the building was in. All I can say is shame on you boys, you boys were raised better than that, I know that cause you are from AL. The land of the PRIDE!!!!AND I CAN'T RATE YOU ALL CAUSE YOU DON'T DESERVE IT

We recently visited and were disappointed by the run down condition. The lady in the gift shop had trouble getting my credit or debit card to run in their machine. She finally got it and assured me I would only be charged once, but when I got my statements they had charged me three times. They had trouble refunding me since I didn't have my original receipt and I had to get my bank to charge them back and credit my debit card twice to correct the error. Don't buy anything except with cash.
