This family friendly 8.5 mile canoe adventure was a BLAST! We had a small group that included children ranging from 7 to 12. It is recommended that you make reservations and be there before 12 to insure a day of fun. The family ran business and their staff are very informative, friendly, and had snacks/drinks waiting at the end of the journey. It is also recommended that you bring food and drinks in a small ice chest as you will need replenishing often. We stopped along one of the sandbars, had a picnic and let the kids swim around in the water. There are no glass containers allowed and there were game wardens out there giving tickets and taking all glass containers. Life jackets and trash bags are provided by the company for your safety. We plan on making this trip at least twice a year.
