This is a place to see and be seen every Sat morning. Farmer's market and usually a live band make this a lively spot on the trailhead. I believe the main cultural "room" can also be rented out for community meetings and small (family) groups. Nice atmosphere, pure Mandeville. Trailhead is adjacent and kids fountain area is a nice place to cool off. Several places to eat within the block.

This trailhead is very nice. A covered pavilion for a weekend farmers market and during spring and Fall there is free live music playing on Friday evenings. This trailhead goes right through the old historic part of town and there is a place to rent bikes and a great snack and snowball shack on site.

We've ridden the Trailhead bike trail both directions as a family with the kids. A couple of the road crossovers are a little scarier than others (Sharp Rd, 190 near Pelican Park, and 59) but all in all a great, scenic, safe way to ride a flat trail with your bikes! Great stopping points include Abita Springs park area, Mandeville Trailhead, the new playground in Mandeville near the government buildings, and Pelican Park. Plus many smaller benches and covered table areas placed on the trailhead.

There are three trail head centers with the Mandeville center being the one to visit on weekends and for special events. Great for shopping for local made products and art on the weekends. Excellent home made foods and entertainment. The bike paths are extensive with good stopping points to include communities of Abita Springs and Covington and soon to be all the way to Slidell. Nice scenic bike riding in all directions

When you go on the trail head you can start at many places. Easy riding. Can stop on the way and get eats or drinks. If on Sat. can go to farmers market in Covington. Go through Abita and stop at the well for water. Great !!! take as long as you want, or as short as you want.

I've been here several times with my family and have enjoyed it always. Little kids love the water spraying out of the ground!

You can see is all in 20 minutes. I went during a flea market that they have each weekend. There is someone who home cooks Indian food. That was the best part of this trip. The museum has old photos mounted on the wall.

The market that is held each Saturday from 9 am until 1 pm is lots of fun.

If you are on the northshore, you should stop here. Look around then walk the trailhead.

This is a good starting point to ride your bike to Fontainbleau State park or just a shorter bike ride. The Saturday mkt is alright. Usually more art/crafts than produce lke a farmers mkt. There is a bike rental nearby and a yummy snack stand for a cold snoball after your bike ride.

Parking, maps, public restrooms, shaded pavillion, kids' area. Bike rentalstore, Kickstand Bike Rental, and cafe across the street. Chain drugstore on the corner in case you forgot your sunscreen. Beautiful Fountainbleu state park within easy walking distance for most people.
