the jolly inn cajun dance hall

We stayed in Houma and were directed here by our bnb host. We were skeptical as we waited an hour for the band to start. Not for long! Alot of the locals came up to us to chat and were incredibly friendly! What sweet people! As the music started, the band was fun and lively and the local Cajun dancing was so much fun to watch. Before we knew it, we were on the dance floor with some of the best teachers. We had so much fun!! Hugs around from our new friends as we left. Could not have had a better experience!

We visited this Cajun dance hall along with the hosts where we stayed. One Friday evening with food and dancing to a live orchestra. It was a place for the locals, almost like a club. I got some lessons in Cajun two steps of Vilma our hostess. A fine evening, where we got a glimpse of Cajun culture. We ended up being honorary members of Cajun Association.

Wonderful local place. Be ready for music like no where else. They start early. Shrimp poboy was great! Friendly local people. Place fills up early on friday night.
