We in in NOLA for just a few days and wanted to hit the high points. Thought I could convince my spouse to take the cruise down to he site of the Battle of New Orleans. But she wanted to see the bayous. Hotel staff recommended this place. Were extremely pleased I lost that discussion. Took the option to take the bus up and back from the hotel. An excellent choice. That was a tour in itself and the driver was both informative and humorous. Well worth the extra fee. The tour itself was great! We opted for the larger boat over the airboat. The guide was very knowledgeable and did know where to fond a few gators. The thrill to my spouse was holding a small one. Grandkids loved the pics I took.

I booked to go on their 6 person airboat for a Sunday at 3 in late Nov. they phoned back saying it was getting to late and suggested earlier, Bus pick up from hotel at 8am on Dec. 1 and turned out perfect. A family of 4, myself and guide, either Justin or Rocky(sorry guys) set out for close to 2 hours of fun, spotting a 16-18 foot alligator, some smaller ones, birds, scenery and some fun spins on the airboat. Liked so much I bought the tshirt, lol. I had wanted to do an airboat tour for a long time and did not disappoint, will do again if I am somewhere I can.

You book form your hotel, get picked up from your hotel and delivered to shelter whilst you wait to board the boat. heaps of room and you see everything from the seating arrangements. The guide explains everything extremely well and you get to hold a small gator. We took out little boy and even he loved it and he's only 15 months. We saw numerous gators and watched as they fed on tiny marshmallows, even jumping out of the water to grab them. Bird life is also a plenty and this was a great way to enjoy the backwaters of this lovely city.

A group of us went on this tour and we took the small airboat. It was one of my favorite things we did on out trip. Rocky was our captain and he was amazing. He let us hold a baby gator and was so informative. The swamps were awesome and the boat ride was smooth and felt great in the hot weather. Great for any age. And don't forget your camera!!! Thanks Rocky for a great tour.

Really worthwhile taking this trip to see small alligators, herons, turtles and raccoons in their natural habitat. Our guide was A Cajun guy by the name of Noah, proper hillbilly with so much knowledge. He passed around a small gator for people to handle with care, it's jaws were taped shut which was a blessing. Noah played a Cajun cd everyone on the boat was foot tapping. A gift shop available at the site, cold snacks on offer also. Unsuitable for small children.

Wifey booked this as a combo to the Oak Alley Plantation tour on first floor of Hilton Riverside, via Greyline tours! She loved the swamp tour the most. Got to see cemeteries, swamp homes, and alligators playing, along with all kinds of wildlife and plants! Wifey got to hold a baby gator! Good deal and safe tour!

My wife booked the Airboat tour, so i had no idea what to expect. Bus picked us up at our hotel and took us for a thirty minute ride out to the swamp. Our guide Justin grew up on the swamp and knows exactly where to go and handles the airboat like a pro. He is extremely knowledgeable and a great guide. We had a great time, saw lots of gators and other wildlife and I was surprised at how pretty this swamp is.

Didn't really know what to expect, but the tours thru the backwaters were fantastic, got to see a lot of wildlife, birds, and lots of alligators, our driver stopped several times and explained about the area, he was very knowledgeable which made the trip very informative along with being just fun!! He had a small alligator and passed it around so everyone could hold it. A really nice time, got to see a part of this area we would have missed if we had not taken the tour, worth every penny, we had a great time.

When I think "swamp," I don't think about beauty. We took the Louisiana Swamp Tour this past week, and it truly exceeded my expectations. There is a choice of a large or small airboat, and we selected the small one, a 6-seater. Our tour guide, Justin, was fantastic. He grew up in the area, and knew every inch of our surroundings. He took us through beautiful waters with gorgeous trees and flowers, and he would stop the boat here and there to explain where we were and what we were seeing. He told us we may or may not see alligators, but we surely did. We saw several of them. Justin stopped the boat so that we could get a good look and some photos - it was wonderful. We could tell that Justin loves the area, and he had a great way about him, sharing funny personal stories about his family all through the tour. This tour was so much more than I expected, and I highly recommend it. Absolutely excellent.

From the pick up at the hotel our driver gave us a great history of the city and it's people. We transferred to the air boat - ear defenders supplied - and had a fabulous tour so the swamp and our guide was so knowledgeable. Best day of the trip!

Really great tour, our guide was superb, friendly and knowledgeable, saw lots of wildlife and amazing scenery. Highly recommend both the experience and Louisiana Swamp tours.

Our friend suggested this tour and what an amazing choice. You get to see the wilderness with the locals who are so passionate about their surroundings. Now don't be mistaken with an alligator tour. This isn't it. It's about the wildlife and nature in general. If in the right season you are likely to see plenty of alligators but don't expect to see them in February or March. It's too cold. Come toward end of spring and summer time. Birds such as pelican for example maybe around. Most importantly you will learn a lot about the ecosystem which is in danger of disappearing by the way. Now if you really want to learn something then take the small speed boats (up to 6 people ). You'll get a much more in depth overview.

I went on a tour of the Southern States in July/August and I have to say that this boat trip was the highlight for me. A funny and good humoured guide, great weather, plenty of crocodiles, turtles, beautiful birds and lush vegatation. Well worth a visit!

We did the small airboat tour with hotel pick up; our pick up/return driver was Chris and he was great! Not only did he give us a nice tour of the surrounding areas but he did it with humor! When we were ready for the airboat tour we had Captain Justin. He was awesome! Took us to an area where we saw 6 alligators then into the bayou where we sat in the shade and he told us about various Cajun customs and his love of Louisiana. We had a great time and would do it again.Thank you!

The fact that you get to ride on an air-boat had me sold. They give you protection for your ears because it's so loud. The tour guide was excellent and entertaining. We actually walked away with a lot of knowledge and a better understanding of the area and the environment. It was so fun I didn't realize how much I had learned until telling others about it later. The bayou was beautiful and we got to hold an alligator!
