We weren't the only ones who were waiting to enter this museum. A note on the door of explaination would have been nice since it was during stated hours.

I liked the history behind the museum I did not like that it's not as busy as I thought it would be because of all the history that's there.

This place is never open! Don't waste your gas! You must need a two month appointment. I visited two years ago and it was booming with activity. Now its dead and rin down looking. Where is the Board pf Trustees?

I volunteered greatly with the young man who was recently leading the museum in a new direction. His voice and leadership was much needed and moved the museum progressively forward. He did it simply because of his love for the arts and the community - for free. He wasn't getting paid or anything and was there for over a year reconnecting a community to a once forgotten jewel. I am still sadly disappointed in the leadership at the museum (the board - Dessie Williams, Haywood Joiner, Maxine Pickens, Jamar Gailes, Taura Denmon and others). I understand that yet again local politics played a great role in his departure from the museum.
