Excellent demonstration of multiple glass blowing pieces which are also for sale in their gift shop. Reasonably priced. Locally made jams, jellies, salsas, etc.

We saw something about Appalachian Glass on our local news about 3 hours away. We drove to Weston just to see this place. We were very disappointed. We were in and out in 15 minutes, not worth the long drive. More than half the store contains trinkets and other non-glass "souvenir" kind if items. There were less than 2 dozen different hand blown items in the store. Even the variety and selection of those items was limited. We hoped for much more, even being offered to make something for us which never happened. It's as if they didn't care one way or another if we were there and we were the only people in the store! If you are in the area, stop by maybe it's better in summer but don't go out of your way.

We bought several trinkets in this, what appears to be a mom and pop shop. They even have demonstrations from 8:00 am to about 2:00 pm. Very helpful staff and a wide selection of items to purchase.

We had a difficult time finding this place using the GPS. We ended up calling the place, and the lady that answered the phone was very helpful. It's in a yellow and green building with a bright copper roof on 33 East across from Long John Silvers and Pizza Hut. The workshop itself is small, but the gentlemen that were making things were very friendly. It's obvious from when you walk in hat this is a family business. The ornaments are especially beautiful.

Talk with the blowers, watch the skill and enjoy seeing a craft that hasn't changed in hundreds of years. And by some of the glassware!

After ghosthunting at TALA on Saturday night, my teenage daughter and I wanted to check our Appalachian Glass. We had no idea that many Weston businesses are closed on Sundays. As we pull up to the front of the building, wondering if it was open or not, a lady standing by the front door motioned us to come over. She let us know that the store wasn't open but she'd be more than happy to let us come in and look around. As I wondered around the shop, she gave me nice back stories to the items that were for sale. For instance, the fishing lures that are handmade by a man and his granddaughter. I felt so welcomed and very thankful for her kindness that day. It's obvious that the people of Weston love their community....and I fell in love with Weston too!
