top kick's military museum

The man that runs the place was in the Korea War and collects all types of memorabilia. He is very knowledgable. He restores some of the old jeeps. It is well worth a visit.

Go see this place. This guy is a private collector and has one heck of a collection of cool and unique stuff. I loved it. I am a history lover. So is my son. We had a very fun afternoon with Gerald as he strolled through with us and shared stories with us. Was a great time. Only half mile from our Motel. Even better:)

While travelling back home on 20 April 2014 we saw a sign for “WV’s largest military museum,” in Petersburg, WV. We decided to check it out and were glad we did! Top Kick’s Military Museum (http://www.topkicksmilitarymuseum.com/) contains quite an extensive collection of vehicles, weapons, general military items, and some unusual pieces. Especially enjoyable, is the conversation you will have with the proprietor, Gerald Bland (USA, Ret). The stories behind the acquisition of the pieces is even more interesting than the pieces themselves. He has devoted his life to making sure the museum flourishes – definitely worth the visit if you enjoy looking at military memorabilia from all the services. The museum pieces, both inside and outside, span a variety of subject areas during several military engagements. Top does a great job of representing all branches of the military services.
