My daughters attended a birthday party there recently. We were told several times that we needed to arrive at least 15 minutes early since the class started promptly at 1:00 and they couldn't accommodate latecomers (understandably since it is an instructor-led painting session). However - at 1:04 I was back in my car getting ready to run errands during the party time, and I noticed a young girl (gift bag in hand) and her mom knocking on the already locked front door to the studio. Although the entire studio front consists of glass windows and a glass front door, and the front area was filled with guests ready to paint, no-one came and opened the door. After a few minutes of waiting, the girl and her mom left. I could just imagine that girl crying her eyes out all the way home. At 2:55, I returned to pick up my daughters but had to wait at the still locked front doors until someone came and let us in. I then heard that another party guest, who had no intentions of painting (due to a prior scheduling conflict), but was invited by the birthday girl to stop by for a cupcake, was also not allowed inside. After a lot of knocking, the manager opened the door to the guest (but body-blocked the door) and let her know she could not enter. Needless to say, my opinion of the Lansing location is incredibly low - I can only hope that what happened this past weekeend is due to poor local management and not company-wide policy.

Great concept if it were managed better. Experience was good and support staff are great, but Diane needs a serious lesson in customer service and slightly shocked a franchise agreement was given to someone of this nature.

We had a FABULOUS time painting "Tranquil Buddha". Jenn is a great teacher, adding appropriate historical information. I highly recommend this as an evening out: single, date, friends, family (adult children). We are thrilled with our creative "masterpieces"--ready to hang. "Twist" provides all materials: canvas, paints, brushes, instruction, FUN and cleanup. We all want to return. Thanks Jenn!
