They did a very nice job of restoration, it is unfortunate it is not in a more well traveled area. Found it by accident, but was glad we took the time to stop and enjoy the quality of the restoration.

We love finding covered bridges and this one was unique in that it was probably the most "out-of-the-way" bridge we have seen to date as well as the longest. We loved the scenic drive and finally coming upon the Locust Creek Bridge. Coming from Hillsboro, WV drive south on US 219 to Locust Creek Road 20, turn left then drive 3.3 miles to a stop sign, turn right and the bridge is located approximately 150 feet ahead. It is very well preserved and kept. It spans Locust Creek, a pretty little stream with lots of rocks and wild flowers. Be sure and take your camera along for some photos. Covered bridges are rare gems of our past. I enjoy reading the stories of long ago travelers who used the covered bridtes as shelters from storms or to spend the night. This bridge is the only one of its kind in Pocohontas County, WV and although you cannot drive through, you can walk. I highly recommend you visit if you are anywhere in the vicinity. Young gentlemen, if you want to impress your lady, take her to see a covered bridge, there is something romantic about them.

We enjoy the hunt for covered bridges and this one led us into the back roads of Pocahontas County. It is this only one in the county and has been nicely preserved.

Covered bridge was a pleasure to see. Many wildflowers and babbling brook make this place very photogenic.

The road no longer goes through this covered bridge so that it can be preserved. Unfortunately, the day that we went, it was raining so we didn't spend a lot of time here. We were able to walk the length of the bridge. It was very nicely preserved but b/c of the rain we didn't want to walk around very much.
