I've been to this school 3-times and plan to go back. You not only learn important life skills, primitive skills, and survival skills, but you also have a free space to explore your skills as an empowered being. It's one big family there!

Obviously these reviews were written by the owners. The knife-making school was a horrible experience to say the least. The best part of the experience was having to spend the night in a filthy house with a goat. The "home-made" meals provided were made from generic boxed meals supplied by Food Lion, Making a knife consisted of sharpening a pre-cut piece of old saw blade and a piece of wood. Not exactly proper bushcraft. For people that purport to be "living off the land" they certainly rely on cheap store bought ingredients. I would recommend that everyone stay far, far away from these ripoff artists.

My experience there was life altering, in the best of ways! I learned more, and made more REAL friends in a week than I would in a typical year. If you are considering any activity with NABS, consider no longer! Do it!

North American Bushcraft School was a great experience for me and my son. We learned some very useful and practical ways to start fires from the friction methods to the more modern flint and steel. We also learned about edible, medicinal and toxic plants which grow around all of us and go mostly unnoticed. Also we got to sleep in an authentic teepee! These were just a couple of the skills we learned and best of all it was some of the best bonding time I have had with my son. Also it should be known that they did this as a no cost two day event for the Wounded Warrior Project for myself and a group of other wounded war veterans. It was awesome Jason is the real deal, very devoted and knowledgeable in what he does. I will definitely be back!

The skills you learn are so important. The staff are immensely supportive, kind, and full of laughter. I had a GREAT time!

Couldn't more highly recommend North American Bushcraft School. Had such a wonderful time and learned so much. Jason and Sera are incredible people...I really didn't want to leave.

North American Bushcraft School offers exactly what I have been looking for! I was able to learn about wild edibles, how to make hand made tools and outdoor cooking techniques. On top of that, the food was wonderful and it was great building community with Sera and Jason as well as the other attendees. I plan on taking several other classes especially future wild edibles, flint napping and how to tan hides.
