Stay home. Dirty, the games were mostly shut down or broken. The workers had a don't care attitude. The price is way too much for the little bit of activities.

It could be such a nice place, but EVERY time I've been there since the first few times I went years ago it seems I spend more time dealing with their broken stuff and trying to get someone to help me than I spend enjoying watching the kids enjoy themselves. They really seem to have done very little work on maintaining their equipment. They've taken things out. The giant slide was a favorite - gone. The massive Jupiter jumps are gone. Most of the coin-op stuff is hugely unreliable, be it taking tokens, not giving tickets, or both. Some of the coin op rides are always broken. I've gone in and had to stand there for a considerable length of time to even pay to get in, watching several employees act like they had no clue what they were doing. The bowling alleys constantly freeze up, the kid rails don't go up or back down, balls get stuck. They've gotten cheap now and give you ONE game with a pass. Their burgers are actually decent quality. But I've had poor service from the food workers as well. Many times. For example, on one occasion, I went back up and politely asked for onions, saying I ordered some but didn't get any. The girl went in the back, apparently got some onions on a place, came back up front and literally threw them down on the counter in my direction, so hard that some of the onions fell off the plate. I had done NOTHING to warrant that behavior, other than ask for my onions. On this same trip the ketchup was out I discovered, and they tossed some ketchup packets at me. On another occasion I wanted to order food, and they were out of a bunch of stuff. But they had burgers, but told me they were out of everything except ketchup and mustard. When I asked them if they were going to have some later (I mean, people go there, and buy a pass and stay for hours. I was planning on being there a LONG time, so it was a legitimate question). Well I was told they wouldn't have any that day, that someone didn't order enough, or something to that effect. It wasn't a very busy day. I counted 4 people behind the counter at various times, at least 12 employees in the building, maybe more. There are 4 grocery stores within a 5 minute drive of that place. They can't send someone to the store for tomatoes, lettuce, etc.?If you're going to run a restaurant, and they do have pretty much a restaurant there, not just a snack bar, and they charge restaurant prices, then run a restaurant, take pride in offering your customers what they pay for. If you have and advertise a "Black angus burger," people are going to expect a little more than ketchup on their $5 burger. And throwing onions and things on the counter at people, that kind of behavior is NEVER acceptable in ANY establishment. On THAT occasion I had had it, and asked to speak to someone, and they said the owner was there. An older gentleman came over, nodded a lot and smiled, and pretty much left me with the feeling he could care less about any of my complaints, and when I confronted him with the service at the counter he said "oh, well they shouldn't do that, I'll have to talk to someone." No offer of anything, no apology, nothing. Then when I stated that I have problems with the machines and bowling lanes and what not EVERY time I come here, and that it's near impossible to get or find someone to help, he said, and I quote, "I've never had anyone else tell me anything like this, and most people just tell me they are thankful to have a place like this here in Fairmont."I was pretty well stunned. I informed him that there are tales of people's complaints about the place all over the internet. That I do like the fact that it's there, and that I have both the location and the means to visit more often, and I would, but I work hard for my money, and I expect to feel like I'm getting my money's worth. What I feel when I go to VWofF is aggravation that I have to chase their employees around because their equipment doesn't work. And then to have the kind of service experiences I've had with the food, after spending $20-30 in the restaurant after dropping $35-40 to get in. The visit where onions were tossed at me I spent $80, all told, in there between admission, food, and coin-op, on just my daughter and I. That's a significant amount of money to feel like you're not treated like a valued customer. I can go to Kennywood for a day on that (and that's what I do. I save my VWofF money now, and we just buy an Idlewild pass and hit Kennywood a few times more than we would if we had a fully functional, well run VWofF. Their recent desire to promote food specials may be a telling example of their business failing. I've heard rumors from other people that they were closing, shutting down, already closed. I am never surprised. I suspect it's just people speculating due to the declining nature of the place.Maybe they will eventually see all the negative reviews and take some pride in their place and change things. I'm not holding my breath at this point.

For most kids, there are not enough rides for a day pass. Bowling is inexpensive and the kids spent a little time playing arcade games. It looks outdated : the machines are old. The employees are friendly. We all had a great time.

We went bowling at the Valley Worlds of Fun and had pizza as well. The bowling area was too dark and the music way too loud. The pizza sauce tasted like unseasoned tomato puree, the cheese was too much, and very little pepperoni. The dough was tasteless and everything fell off the pizza when picked up and was under cooked. Everything is way over priced. I cannot recommend this establishment.

Fun place, though several of the games or rides are not operational. It could use a make-over. The day we were there, two ski ball lanes were down, only three of the indoor rides could operate at any given time because there were only three staff members in the ride area on a Saturday, so can't imagine on a week day. But, overall, a fairly good deal - bowling, laser tag, all the rides you can ride, and if open for season, mini golf. I got the kids a wrist band and let them go crazy and didn't get one for myself. That seems to be the best deal. They had a great time.

It's sad, i remember when it was a nice place, now ran down peeling and faded paint, unattentive staff, most attractions and games are broken or worn out.I attended a 5 year olds birthday party. The party room was void of heat, a space heater was provided but it was noisey because the fan and motor were failing and it put out little if any heat, in fact the noise became so loud and the heater began to smoke and smell i unplugged to prevent a fire, no one checked on us.Either close the place or invest some money into it. Make it safe clean and fun.A ran down stink hole.

My husband and I went to Valley Worlds of Fun with another couple and our son. We paid full price for a wristband for our son but only a couple of the rides were running. Additionally the bowling lanes didn't work. We were moved to four different lanes during our 2 games. We ordered a pizza from the consession stand....the employee didn't even call our name (as he said he would) and by the time we checked on it the pizza was cold. We live in Fairmont and haven't even been back...probably won't.

Nice clean family fun center. Outside activities plus putt putt golf, bowling etc. We take the grandchildren every time they come visit.

We take the grandkids here often. They enjoy the Laser Tag, big slide, and water rides. I participate in the miniature golf, bowling and food. There are vido games you can win tokens and get prizes etc. Cost is not to bad.

Do not go here unless you like to overpay for broken attractions and games. It used to be so nice and fun for kids of all ages, but now it's run down and no fun at all for anyone over the age of 5. Really cannot be clearer than to say it was a complete waste of money. Very unfortunate. Someone needs to pump some cash into this place and bring it back to life.

My kids and I have been here twice before today, and had a great time both times. We haven't been there though since the yr before last. We made the trip today though. Which is a 100+ miles give or take a few, and we were not very happy. I would most definitely have to agree that it would have been much better if someone cared enough to take care of the place. Half the games in the arcade were not working, and the stuff outside is starting to look pretty run down. Plus they have taken out a good bit of the stuff, and changed the rules that go with the wrist bands. Sadly we will not be going back again. This is our last trip to Valley Worlds of Fun!!!!

Kids and I had been here for an afternoon last year, so we stopped on our way through again recently. The place has significantly gone downhill. Very hot day - they had giant fans going inside, so it wasn't horrible even though there's no AC. $18 for a wristband is expensive, but wouldn't be as unreasonable IF THE RIDES WORKED!Outside: The sky drop was working...but had to be shut down occasionally "to let it cool" (I was curious if it was to cool the ride or the poor attendant manning it w/no shade whatsoever). The rock wall appeared to be manned for all of about 5 minutes of the entire time we were there. The bumper boats were our primary focus, as it was quite warm and they are the most fun anyway, but there were only 4 working. 2 more were running but had no water shooters...less than impressive. We were told that their "repair person had been off for a week" (??)Another ride outside was closed. Mini golf was open, but no shade on the course so it was way too hot to play. Inside:Laser tag is no longer included in the wristband. It just keeps getting more expensive.Little roller coaster wasn't working. Bumper cars were running, but employees were rude.Bunny ride was actually working, but looks like it's seen much much better days.1 small inflatable slideYou can only ride rides when there's an attendant there...they were doing a lot of standing around chatting so you'd have to wait until someone wandered over. We ended up buying a wristband for 1 of our kids and then laser tag and tokens for the other and ourselves. Now here's the strange part...we had purchased the tokens, but only 1 attendant at 1 ride was actually collecting them??? While this did make for a better value for our $...it was a little odd. If they could get things running...and keep them running...and provide some shade at least for the employees outside, it'd be a better option. Otherwise, find somewhere else to spend your afternoon.

There is so much potential at Valley Worlds of Fun... but sadly, it could use some upkeep. We went over the holiday break with our 2 children, and the front desk was understaffed. The bowling facility looked fine on the surface, but we had to have the lane reset several times because it was not functioning properly. We then tried some of the rides... the mini-roller coaster was closed for repairs. And, there were only 2 staffers working the various rides and you cannot enjoy an activity if it is not manned -- even the bouncy house, which was one of the only activities our 3 year old could take advantage of. It only got worse as we went to the arcade, where several of the machines ate our tokens. A nod to the staff, however, who replaced the tokens when we told them what had happened. Also, the photo booth needs to be re calibrated --as our family photo strip cut off the image of our family, despite all of us being positioned in the frame in the booth. A waste of another $2. Bathrooms near arcade are horrible. The woman working the prize counter was very kind, however. There is a lot of space here and it could be great -- just needs some (okay, maybe a lot of) attention.
