The trail, as well as the surrounding areas, are really beautiful. This trail specifically does have a fair amount of elevation involved in the hike up. You need to be in at least fair shape to make the trip comfortably. Do remember to keep talking. After all, you want the bears to hear you before they see you! The waterfalls you can find on the trails are beautiful as is the scenery in general. There are some excellent photo opportunities on the trails but feel free to continue driving past the trail parking area and explore the entire area as the west fork of the rock creek runs along the road most of the way.

Beautiful hike to and along waterfall/creek, but trail disappeared. We thought we could maybe go a little farther and trail would be better, but no such luck - totally disappeared. We continued on following the creek to hopefully Make it to the first lake and finally came across a big meadow. at that point we were running into even more bear poop, and thought We better turn around and find our way back out for lunch. Disappointed we didn't reach either of the lakes, but still fun and enjoyable. Beautiful views.
