Friends of ours had us try a bottle of wine they had brought back from there. We liked it so much we ordered a case. Eventually, we drove the 4-5 hours to see the place ourselves. Very laid back place. The staff was very friendly. Loved the free tastings. We came back with another case and have another 4-5 more favorites.

We went during the week so they weren't super busy. Great that you can taste all the wines you are interested in. Small gift area with t-shirts and other items. Case discount on 12 bottles and each case comes with 2 wine glasses with the Purple Toad logo. Will visit again when in the area.

Very well managed and excellent little winery. Provide tasting and wine sales. The vineyard area is beautiful and kept in pristine shape. Sometime In warmer weather they have live music and there is a large meeting room for private and commercial gatherings. Wines have won many prominent awards.

Enjoyed the surprise of a nice winery in Paducah. The wines are better-than-average for Midwest wines, and the bar area is well-appointed. We could try as many wines as we wanted - for free. The screened seating area is not too big and might be better expanded and given a little more personality...and get rid of the cat, which was very bothersome on our second visit, jumping up on the table and going for our snacks; but overall, it's worth a stop if you like wineries and want to give it a try.

You can try as many as you desire at no cost. One glass is only $4 and a bottle is just under $14. Great scenic property and very friendly owner's dogs on site. Plus free snacks (pretzels, popcorn, etc). I HIGHLY recommend the Sangria, it's light and flavorful. I left with two bottles!!

We stopped here and spent about 20 minutes tasting wines. They have different flavors such as strawberry and peach. You can try sweet or dry or both. Prices are decent. They also have souvenirs. We bought a glass a shirt and 2 bottles of wine and it was around $35. Tasting was free and we walked the Vineyards as well. Fum time.

First time trying Kentucky wines so we didn't know what to expect. If you like sweet wines, this is the place for you. While I prefer dry, their sweet wine options were extensive and tasted good. We opted for the Black and Bruised and the Merlot. Prices are the same across the board at around $15 each and tastings are free which is always nice!

We stopped on a whim I'm not a wine drinker but I have found a new favorite! I tried a few different flavors all yummy! I even bought two bottles and my mom came home with a bag full of goodies. We had to make a special stop at a local store to replace one of the bottles we drank during our trip. Great prices for a delicious wine!

We stumbled upon the Purple Toad Winery by accident and since we hardly ever pass one up we stopped, we were met by a very nice young lady and the owner Allen and proceeded to taste and talk about every wine they had which were many and very good .. Allen was adding on and had his Bro-inlaw sweating in the new building but we still had a great tour. If you like people and good wine you'll have a great time and we plan to go back when the wine we bought runs out .

We had a great time there.. Allen and June are great people.. We stopped by on our way home from vacation... We liked the name so thought we would see what it was all about,, We were there for a couple of hours. If you stop by and are "Disappointed" then that is your own fault..Keep up the good work Allen and June... If we are ever back in the area I guaranty we will stop by.. Great wine and Great people.. We drove 3 hours for a 5 minute wine tasting. Employee was not helpful at all. Nothing like any other winery I have been to. Very disappointed in the winery. No presentation of any sort about the wines.
