Some interesting things to look at. We traveled there with my in-laws. They enjoyed looking around. (They are in their 70's). Lots of different country artists memorabilia from past and present.

This museum is continually growing. It's a self-guided tour and brings back a lot of memories. The old equipment, instruments, clothing, pictures are just a few of the things you will see. They have a gift shop that is small but nice. Great way to spend a few hours.

This was a favorite stop when we were on our road trip from MN to TN. We were not sure if we were going to be able to do this museum. When we got up at our motel, we found we had a dead battery on our car. Always fun on a trip. We got help to get it started, found out we needed a new battery which the roadside service didn't have. We really wanted to see the museum so we drove over there and left our car run. We had an extra set of keys so it worked out. We felt a little short on time but actually took over an hour to go through the museum and really enjoyed all the history, exhibits, and info about all the singers and the song writers. Watched a very good video about a writer whose name has left me, but boy did he write for all the great ones. We did get a new battery in the next town, so all's well that ends well.

Would never know certain musicians were from,KY. Nice exhibits, video clips, guitars and especially the rhythm demonstration near the end, staff was friendly. Nice little gift shop, Cost about $5-6. Takes under an hour.

The self guided museum tour is ideal for anyone's pace. Many interesting items from the numerous Kentucky born musicians and writers. Enjoyed the museum, displays and historical information about our Kentucky performers, writers and others.

This is an interesting museum, even if you are not a music fanatic. There are older and more modern inductees, and you are sure to find someone you recognize. You can spend a pleasant hour or so looking at the exhibits and hearing music/seeing videos. It is well worth a stop.

Even if you are not a great country music fan you will enjoy a visit to the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame in Renfro. It's easy to get to off the highway and is good for a 1-2 hour visit. There are lots of exhibits with memorabilia and it provides a clear story of the history of Kentucky music which everyone has at least some knowledge of. Lots of parking even for our RV. There is an amusement park next to it if you want to spend more time there (although I can't comment on it's appeal or quality.)

Many artifacts, wardrobes, posters and records of those famous and not so famous Kentucky musicians, sure. But what else is so neat about this museum is the narratives and artifacts from as the music styles Kentucky has birthed came about. So it's a double win as museums go.Very cool.

We spent about an hour there and although we didn't read every posting, we learned a lot about Kentucky and the music history of the state and its people. Anyone who has any music in their bones will enjoy this rich history lesson that is easy to walk through at your own pace. Would definitely recommend it to all and any ages.

Tells you a lot of information. Shows you costumes worn. Entrance fee a little high for what you get. I would rather spend my money on the Renfro Valley local artists shows and hear some good old bluegrass/country music.

I am a HUGE bluegrass fan - and a fan of country music (the old, real stuff - not the candy pop garbage you hear on the radio these days). Yes, I realize this makes me sound like I'm 80, but I'm only 32!ANYWAY Loretta Lynn is my all-time hero! I also adore Bill Monroe, Ricky Skaggs, Dwight Yoakam, Keith Whitley, the Everly Brothers. All of whom are honored here at the KY Music Hall of Fame.I think I was expecting to be wowed more than I was. First of all, the place was almost deserted when we were there, kind of odd. Also, the acoustics in the building were not designed well; I have a slight hearing loss but I was distracted, because you could hear different music coming from different rooms and so you couldn't focus on just one piece at a time.Anyway there were fewer exhibits than I thought there might be - and I would have expected a shrine to the magnificent Loretta Lynn, but all there was for her was one of her fancy sparkly dresses. And outfits for all the musicians I mentioned, but not really any meaningful displays, chronicling their fascinating lives. In addition, the gift shop area was rough at best - very disorganized. I had really wanted a t-shirt but their selection was poor and I couldn't find a decent one in my size (women's medium).Worth a visit, yes - but don't get your hopes up for any great level of detail on your musical heroes, it's just not here.

This is a great trip if you are a country music fan, especially if you enjoy Kentucky musicians. Love all of the historical information and exhibits.

We were just passing through and stopped to find this to be an intriguing place. We ended up spending much longer than we had anticipated as we both enjoyed it so much. We will stop in again and spend more time there just listening to some of the exhibits.

Just passing through the area and decided to stop in for a looksee. We enjoyed the trip through the museum. Country & Bluegrass Music has deep roots in our Kentucky hills. The offerings change from time to time. The only downfall in my book, no live music. With all the pickers in the area, this should never be. I would stop in again.
