We were in a bit of a hurry and coundlt take the full 1.5 hour tour, but we still wanted some history and to sample the bourbon. Thankfully, they have a tasting tour that was about 30 min. We tried their bourbon, had some great discussions with the guide about bourbon and it's history, and got our Bourbon Trail stamp.Overall, great accommodations.

We didn't take the tour here because of a time restriction on our part., but the staff (Mark) was very accommodating and made our tasting one of the highlights of our entire trip! Loved all of the product offered for us to taste and especially like the souvenir glass with the Four Roses shaped in the bottom. Free admission to military personnel (active or retired)...which we thought was great.

The tour is really an educated tasting which is great as once you've seen one, you have enough background on how bourbon is made. Our tour guide was very educational and entertaining. Great bourbons as well.

Our tour was great! Guide was friendly, funny, answered all questions, took us all through the distillery and was very generous in the tasting room. At $5 / person I think this may be the cheapest tour + tasting in the area.Sometimes when you go on a winery/brewery/distillery tour you feel like they've made a business out of giving tours and you're not getting the "real" experience because you have to see everything through a wall of plexiglass. Definitely not the case here, felt like nothing was off limits and we really got to see everything.Definitely would recommend this tour over some of their neighbors.

This is the third distillery on the bourbon trail I have been on and one of 25-30 I have been to around the world. It deserves a four star review for being a good experience but nothing really excited me or made it set itself apart from the middle of the pack. If this is the only one you have a chance to get to go to in the area, go there. If you can make it to buffalo trace or Woodford I would refer you to one of those.

For five dollars, you can tour the distillery for about an hour and then do a whiskey tasting at the end. Our tour guide, Kathleen, was great & made the tour informative but still fun. We even got to keep our whiskey tasting glasses at the end of it!

I have never tried Four Roses before and wow what have I been missing! For me this was the surprise of the trail! They are making some excellent Bourbon here and I am ashamed that I waited so long to try it. We had a great tour guide (probably the best of the trip) and the distillery is very beautifully designed in the Spanish Architecture style (which is unique in Kentucky to say the least), make sure to take a look at the single barrel bottles they have in the gift shop. They have enough choices where you can basically choose your own mash bill and yeast, which I don't believe you can do anywhere else. I had fun learning about the differences and picking out my own (style).

Very old school tour with a great tasting at the end...and you keep the glass! The people are friendly and welcoming. They do not bottle at this facility.

We enjoyed touring three fine bourbon distilleries on a cold dreary December day; each distinctly different. At Four Roses the tour was done on an up close personal level; we walked up narrow stairs and between vats of fermenting mash. Steam crowded our eye glasses. And the aroma of yeast and alcohol really tweaked our noses. Cory, our tour guide, gave us a candid history of the corporate ups and downs and left us with some excitement at the comeback of this fine distillery. The buildings were architecturally interesting, the feeling was informal and friendly. Well done.

Having known the story of "rock gut" we were not interested in a tour and decided to do just a tasting. The gentleman who assisted us was very interactive and informative. I was surprised he included that story but impressed. When you are reinventing/returning to its original essence, it is important to include all parts of their history and I appreciated that. We were very impressed with how well this young man did that we will definitely be back!

This is where all their Bourbon is put in barrels to age and then bottled. The visitor center just opened but is well laid out and the staff is full of knowledge and history of the Distillery which is located in Lawrenceburg, KY. A real neat place to visit, even if you don't take the tour.

We love Four Roses. It is one of our top 5 bourbons. The distillery tour is fun and unique. It is a smaller operation than some, but that lends to its charm. Free glass with your tasting so that's a bonus as well!!You have the opportunity to buy some bourbon in the shop that can't buy elsewhere (Pennsylvania resident here). The master distiller picks selections from their 10 recipes and you can buy those!A great stop on the Bourbon Tour!!

This was our second stop on the Bourbon Trail. A short movie in the beginning gave a nice history. Our guide was very knowledgeable and made for a very entertaining and informative visit. The tasting room was fun, and we got to keep the glass.

This was our second stop on the Bourbon Trail right after Woodford Reserve. I preferred Woodford slightly more because it was a bit nicer, but we still had a great time at Four Roses and I believe it's worth a visit. The property is located in a pretty area in the countryside and surrounded by rolling hills. The buildings are unique and decorated with a Spanish style. We visited on a Sunday afternoon in early November and it wasn't busy at all. We were able to get tickets for the next available tour. We had 4 people in our group and there were only 4 other people touring with us which made it a small group with 8 people total plus a guide. The tour costs $5 per person and lasts about 45 minutes. We watched a short video about bourbon, then our guide took us through the distillery to explain the process, tell us about the history of Four Roses, and answer questions. We then tasted 3 different types of bourbon and got to keep the glass.
