Designed by the greatest landscape architect in American history, Frederick Law Olmstead, this park is well worth a visit in any season. But my favorite time is for the Pops Concert in June, when thousands gather on the lawn for the festivities. The 1812 Overture with fireworks and cannons is a highlight of the summer.

Beautiful place for a walk in the day, with the duck pond and old mature trees. Fun concerts and Shakespeare in the summer. Watch out for teens with too much time on their hands at night...smoking something.... The library in the park is a gem also, open in the day.

Just a great spot to take a casual stroll and admire the many tree specimens. During the year they have concerts and art shows and outdoor theater. If you just feel like a place to relax and watch the world go by this is just the ticket.

Beautiful Olmsted-designed park has lots of areas to play in, dream in and relax in. Parking can be difficult, but there is a parking garage across the street.

Wilcox Park is a great place to go and relax on a summer day or walk around on a Winters evening. There are many outdoor events that are planned here like the Summer Pops, Art Festival, Shakespeare in the Park, to name a few. Conveniently located behind the Library it hosts many species of foliage and a fish pond plus a gazebo. Lots of history here!

My husband and I were looking for a place to fitness walk near our campground. We drove to downtown Westerly and saw a couple of stroller-pushing moms in athletic clothes and decided to follow them. Jackpot! They led us to Wilcox Park and we had an amazing walk there. The sidewalks are wide and paved. There are plenty of steps and hills to make it interesting and more challenging if you choose, too. We walked for an hour and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Amazing landscape: flowers, trees, grass, water fountains, gazebo and statues. Great for walking a dog. Many benches to sit and enjoy the view.

This park is located in the center of downtown Westerly. It is a beautiful park for picnicking, walking around among the trees and plantings, sitting on one of the many benches and enjoying the pond or gorgeous fountain or jogging around to get a little exercise. This park has many event throughout the year, including Shakespeare in the Park, Vitu Art Festival, Annual Garden and Plant sale plus many more events. It's a wonderful park and kept beautiful through all seasons. It is my favorite park for walking and exercising.

The history of the restaurant was very interesting. The dinner and the service was very good! I liked how we didn't have to wait to be seated and we didn't have to wait long for our dinner. My husband was very interested in the history behind the restaurant which was nicely displayed throughout the house.

Very historic park clean and nice. Very nice for walks and lots of places to eat nearby centrally located in historic downtown westerly

The art show was enjoyable, but similar to the Wickford Art Festival. The park itself is interesting. Saw a plaque honoring Rocky Marciano, which did not have a good explanation of why he is honored there. The terrain is hillier than you would expect. Being close to downtown it has the dual attraction of offering serenity and proximity to activity. A really appealing feature of downtown Westerly.

This park is so lovely. Adjacent to a library, shaded with dozens of different types of trees, and host to one of the best Shakespeare in the Park festivals I've ever been to!

Wonderful park to jog, walk or just visit on the park bench with friends. In the summer it is absolutely beautiful with the pond so clear and fish swimming around. The water fountain is where many people just hang out to chit chat about the weather. The park was designed by Mr. Alstead from New York. Such a little Gem in downtown Westerly, RI

Wilcox Park is a great place to stretch your legs jogging or walking, or sit and relax as you feed the squirrels and enjoy being outside. During the summer the Westerly Pops perform and they have a great fireworks show at the end of the performance. Lots of nice people having lots of fun. My favorite place to go when I lived in Westerly. There is a wide variety of trees and the public library is right there so you can get a book and read in the shade. Relax and enjoy!!!
