The kids had a blast here. It can get pricey but if you get the unlimited bracelet you don't have to worry as much. It is your typical honkey-tonk amusement park but whats not to love?

Wow does this place get fun at night ! I think everyone that was on that gigantic beach all day goes to the Playland Arcade/Rides at night. Great for people watching.Loads of Fun !!! *Just Enjoy the experience*

Our kids are 8 and 10 and had a great time here. Yes, it's older but there is a certain charm to that. Reminds me of growing up and going to the Pavillion at Myrtle Beach. The kids loved it and had a blast. Just buy the unlimited pass for $32 a kid - it's worth it. Trust me. I was figuring out how much it would be otherwise and I think after about 6 rides we were at the cost of the pass and the kids rode way more than that and a lot of rides many times. There's also a nice arcade in there as well and plenty of carnival type food. It was a fun time and we'd definitely go back here again if we were in the area.

It is pricey . Old and somewhat rustic. Noisy, crowded and filled with odd pedestrians. I will keep this civil. However kids love it.. Especially Thursday nights for the free fireworks . There is a large arcade if you don't like the rides. Free Bathrooms , unlike the pay comfort station on the strip, which I hate..ugh. Hey your on Vacation . You work hard live it up..Give your family the true OOB experience . Treasure life while you can.. Still better than camping with the In-laws. Please support the fine citizens of Maine. Donations go a long way.

Way over priced and many of the rides are in poor condition. Better off going to funtown or storyland, they're a much better value.

Palace Playland is probably the best place to bring the kids to during the day, take them to the beach them to here. Only have to pay $31 for the whole day and night (btw they open weekdays at 12 and weekends at 11) and they don't close till 11-12am. Don't forget the fireworks also. Tip: during the day no one is there, and during the night it gets busy. Also you can take Amtrak downeaster for $20 from Boston and you get dropped off technically at the park. Tips: if you stay at old orchard beach for a week and come here more than once, get a 2 day pass for $46. IF YOU NEED THE BATHROOM, GO IN THE PARK!!! Don't pay the $.75 for the one across the street.

We did not go to this I believe this was closed for the season. If it was open I'm not sure if we would have gone. We are not the type of people that like that.

There were plenty of different machines to play, giving out plenty of winning tickets! Child friendly, the rides were great for kids, and there is a weekly firework display until the end of August.

I made my yearly sojourn to OOB with my friend Alex for a day of play and slumming at this famous beach resort town in southern Maine. We took Amtrak down and back from Portland: a quick, easy trip, which lets you off right in the heart of the beach village. It was a gorgeous day and Alex and I walked the popular beach, ate pier fries and other "bad food" from cart and window vendors, which the resort town is known for. We walked through Palace Playland arcade and amusements, though this year we didn't partake in rides or games. We wanted to ride the carousel, but at 6:45 pm they were closing up for the day and had shut-down the ticket booths. Oh well, maybe next year. We especially enjoyed the ample opportunities for people watching. Some of the locals are eccentrics, and many of them dress up their small dogs in fun costumes, and wheel them around in baby carriages, garnering attention and smiles from visitors. By early October, OOB rolls up the sidewalks, many businesses shut down and the beach resort becomes a ghost town again until mid-May. I look forward to returning again next summer.

Lots of cool rides, even a roller coaster, had a blast there. There is also a large arcade there with every kind of game you can think of

Big attraction here for us was the Galaxy! An old classic rollercoaster that is just about extinct ...except for here! You have to purchase tickets to ride the rides. Galaxy is 4 tickets per person. This is about the highest amount per ride. Loved the Ferris Wheel...FANTASTIC photo taking opportunity from the top! Better than the usual "carny" feel of some beach side amusement parks. Clean bathroom facilities in the park...and free!

Palace Playland was certainly a fun place to spend a few hours. Our group was 3 people, ages 22-26. We shared a pack of 20 ride tickets ($25) and got a total of 5 rides out of it. Any of the rides that were appealing to us (with no little kids) were 4 tickets. Maybe if we had small kids with us, the rides wouldn't have seemed so expensive, but I thought $5 a ride seemed a little steep. We also used the arcade, but it was Labor Day Weekend and it was PACKED!We definitely had fun, but I did notice that the staff seemed to be on the bored/annoyed side. I realize this isn't Disney World, but I still expect people working at any fun, theme park to smile and be friendly to guests. I didn't see that from most of the employees.Overall, when visiting Old Orchard Beach, we would visit again, as it is a fun way to spend a few hours.

There were games and rides for all ages and the Ferris wheel I think was the best especially at night over looking everything and the lights around were amazing. The atmosphere just makes you feel so alive it was a blast.

Palace Playland still has some of the same games from when I was a kid and that what I love most about it. The games arent too pricey and my son enjoys it now as we did as children. Hope it stays forver

It's basically a carnival next to the beach. The kids loved it of course but it gets pretty expensive even with just 2 kids so be ready to drop some $$. The kids really liked the huge arcade too. Overall it's a good time for everyone.
