We visited with two of our childrenand several grandchildren. The lobster and trimmings were fresh and well prepared. We are at outdoor picnic tables overlooking the Maine coast. It was a blast for all of us, even those who preferred something other than lobster and clam chowder. Yea, they do offer hotdogs.

I went to Bayley's today for a cooked lobster. I can afford lobster about twice a year. I got to the counter and gave my name and said I ordered a jumbo lobster and the man waiting on me said he would order it. It was a little noisy being very busy so he did not hear me say I already ordered it. No problem I couldn't hear much either. He then checked on my order and said it will be about three minutes so I was going to pay and wait for it. I just questioned him when I heard the price of this jumbo lobster I still wanted it but buy lobster so rarely I didn't know jumbos can get to two pounds.I paid and the man went immediately to a co-worker and made a derogatory comment about me being on the short bus. I very clearly heard this as he said it quite loud. I was not impressed. He could use a class in social skills . The lobster was perfect the sevice lousy.

Pros : Sitting on the dock and eating was very nice. The restaurant seemed clean and the service person behind the counter was good.Cons: Poor Selection on menu. The lobster was ok but not the best. The corn that came with the meal was overcooked and tough. I had ribs and they were average at best. The prices were high for the quality you received. I was not overly impressed. I cannot say it was poor but would not recommend. The store seemed quite busy but I am not sure the restaurant part is the best choice. Sorry I don't like giving out bad reviews but this place did not make the grade for me.

Sorry, Bayley's but this was by far the worst lobster I have ever had. In addition, the location is inconvenient if you're just passing through. There are hundreds of lobster shacks along the roads of New England. Pick one and move on rather than honing in on this one.If you're heading to Cape Cod, try Moby Dick's. The lobster could not have been more fresh--it almost fell out of the shell.

We love going to Bayley's at Pine Point! We buy lobster meat, shrimp, lobster bisque, clam chowder, lobsters, and slaw here! Oh - and the cocktail cause is delicious! I call and order ahead when we are at the beach or just drop by and wait on the line. It's well worth the wait!

Bayley's Lobster Pound is by far the most disgusting restaurant we stopped at on our vacation in Maine. Even the bathrooms were not fit for use. The cashier freely admitted that ALL of their lobsters served at the pound are pre-cooked so that the customers don't get mad waiting for their food. They only have 1 to 1-1/4 pound lobsters. If you want a larger one they discourage it because the waiting time is 30 minutes or more. We ordered 2 of the smaller lobsters with corn and a clam chowder. The chowder was microwaved in a plastic container that was about to melt when they brought it to the picnic table outside. The lobsters were waterlogged, overly salty, and really tiny. This place is a waste of time and money and anyone who gave it a high rating has clearly never visited a fine lobster pound, like Haraseeket's or even the local Hannaford's grocery where they gladly steam live lobsters for you (at no extra charge for the steaming). Yuck Bayley's, you should be ashamed to serve this type of food.

If you want fresh from the ocean to your plate with no middlemen, then Bayley's is the place.I have been vacationing in Maine at Pine Point for over 20 years and ordering cooked lobsters and chowder for pickup at Bayley's for dinner is a staple of our vacation. Additionally, the shrimp rolls for lunch are fantastic. They now also have an outdoors eat-in area as well with picnic tables overlooking the salt water marsh. If you live out of Maine, as we are, we have also had Bayley's lobsters shipped live and cooked them ourselves.

We went to Bayleys to pick up a few Lobsters for dinner. While they required 20 minutes or so for cooking these, we took a walk behind the seafood store. To our surprise we found a pier with picnic tables where people were enjoying their casual meal, while seated in a very serene and peaceful setting. There is a casual bar, so we sat at a stool enjoyed a beverage while waiting, lovely!Bayley's have quite the selection of prepared dishes in fridge and freezers. We decided to get a container of Lobster Bisque. The next day I warm it up and serve it to my husband in coffee cups while seated at the beach. Oh my God, it was heavenly...never had a bisque with so much lobster chunks and so flavorful. We had to repeat this scenario 2 days later. So so good! Can't wait to return to Maine next summer for more.

This is fast food in my neighborhood ! Whenever I want fish or need something quick for dinner Bayley's always come to mind first .I only live a mile away , but I have friends who come much farther & often to get their products . The quality is high & the fish is always fresh . I recent renovations are nice & well thought out . The shop is always clean & the help friendly & knowledgeable , The new pier with picnic tables is a lovely spot to eat ! My only wish is the the quantity of lobster or crab matched the size of the roll .Too much roll to meat ratio . The big roll is good , but in my opinion it should always be grilled up with plenty of real butter . Lobster needs to be the main event & should be honored with a fresh , preservative free , yummy buttered roll . If I get a roll there I have to push the meat halfway up & break off the empty part . Need a smaller roll or more meat please .Love you Bayley's !

Looking for great lobster in Scarborough or Old Orchard? The lobsters at Bayley's are the best around. You can call them in and they will cook them for you. They often have some cooked already to go. Also they make a great lobster roll as well.

Eat where the locals eat. Bayley's lobster rolls and chowder are the best. Top it off with a Key Lime bomb for dessert and the meal is awesome. If you eat at the beach watch out for the gulls.

Great lobster, would have been even better served without attitidude. You should not make fun of customers, especially when they can still hear you!!! Particularly when your customers have given you no just cause to be rude.

Grabbed lobster rolls and something to drink and headed to the beach a couple of blocks away. Delicious lobster rolls and wonderful memories of a beautiful beach.

Not sure why this place is listed under attractions rather than restaurants (albeit take-out), but I promise you this is the best way to get a great meal that you can eat on their back deck or on the fabulous beach just a couple of blocks away.Everyone seems to be focused on their lobster rolls, but I'm going to suggest an alternate route. Go for the lobster salad, people! How can you beat $5.95 for 8 oz of sweet and succulent meat?? You don't have to wait for them to make it because it's ready to go in the refrigerated case and you can call ahead to make sure they have it or to ask them to hold one for you. And while the lobster salad shines on its own, I can vouch from years of first-hand experience that it is most perfectly paired with their homemade cole slaw, which is available at a steal. It's perfectly crunchy, slightly sweet, not overdressed and begs to be enjoyed in alternating bites with the lobster salad. You've got to try it and once you have, you'll never go back to anything else!

My lobster roll had no flavor at all, confirmed be another person in our group. The toasted bun was a few black lines across an otherwise untoasted oversized hotdog roll. The clam chowder had plenty of tender clams but the broth was quite thin and lacked any seasoning. There was some lingering of the cream in my mouth but not as much as I prefer. Lobster stew had, again, decent amount of lobster with a very mediocre broth. Overall, not bad but expectations were high going in and not met. The marsh stunk (low tide) so we decided to take our dinner back to our hotel room. No liquor license and cannot BYOB.
