down front ice cream

We came over to Peaks on the ferry to kill a morning. We had been on a tour of the White mountains and as a mixed party of 6 I wasn't sure that his may be a bit boring. It wasn't, it was the highlight of our trip. We hired bikes and cycled easily around the whole island, I defy you not to dream about living the simple life in one of the many amazing houses dotted around. The final piece of the jigsaw was sat waiting for the return ferry in the sun shine with a superb strawberry ice cream. Idyllic.

Although they can be very busy at times, the staff at down front is always friendly and helpful. The ice cream is Giffords brand ice cream and is delicious! Definitely worth a visit while you're waiting for the boat or on your way around the island!
