We visited the museum and recieved a very warm weclome from the gentleman there. We watched a film that the elders had made telling the history of the tribe. What a well made documentary. There were all kinds of tribal relics and pictures to look at. I bought a CD made by an elder it was wonderful. He told us of a walkway that went through the village that we could walk with our dogs. There were stations along the trail telling about the native vegetation and what uses they held in traditional medicines.

Loved this! Went with my Lakota elder and it was a great meeting all around. Educational, informative, friendly, a bit out of the way for some Maine tourists as it's very local to get there. And hours are not that vast in which the museum is open. Always like to visit this small Maine reservation, especially with a guest from 2000 miles away!
