we wanted to see moose, and didn't want to travel too far north, so we found this on line and paid a visit. saw all the animals and did a couple of the nature hikes, my whole family *14yr old incl) had a great time. the fact that this is done by the Maine game commission is even better, they had a orphaned moose calf we got to see and everyone loved it. I would recommend the photopass option for a better adventure, but it was great otherwise!!

I took my two young children to this place, and they loved it! The staffs were all kind, and they kept the park in a very good shape. It was both educational and fund place. i strongly recommend this place to all.

This was a very nice place to visit on our way to Portland. The wildlife center is clearly well cared for and the grounds are very nice for exploring. We especially enjoyed seeing the moose. Great experience and I'd highly recommend a visit.

I really enjoyed going to the Wildlife Park. It is not very big, but was so much fun to see the animals up close. It isn't very expensive to get in and the money goes to the animals! The park was very clean and all the animals looked great and well taken care of. The enclosures were great and they tried to give the animals as much of their natural habitat as they could. I would defiantly return again! They also had a great area to have lunch or parties.

A very pleasant place to wonder about and learn about Maine's native mammals and birds. Trails throughout the Park are easy to meander on, have several placards placed along the way for education on plants, flowers, trees, etc. Several animals are on the premises as a result of injury or the inability to survive in the wild due to some form of domestication; there even seems to be a moose family – Dad, Mom, and Son roaming their habitat area. Excellent spot for locals and tourists to see a little of the wilder side of Maine safely. Feed can be purchased with quarters to feed some of the residents. Military, active duty and retired, are offered free admission to the park.

The park ground were lovely. I especially liked the stump sculptures of animals. However, it was hard to see many of the animals in their dark cages. Many of the cages seemed on the small size.

I guess I really wasn't a big fan of the place after our visit here this weekend. It does have some educational value and younger kids may like it, but what I seen was a lot of local animals caged up and depressed. IF...they are here on injury rehab....GOOD. IF not....sad.

Went around lunch time and it was HOT!! Most of the animals were lying in the shade or hiding. I don't blame them, I hid under every shady area I could find!! It took us about an hour to walk around the entire park. Make sure you wear shoes as most of the paths are dirt trails. Also, stop by the Nature Store in the park. They had a lot of cool, affordable items.

Took kids here on a family vacation to kill a few hours and had a good time. We're a little wary of driving over from freeport area but was an easy drive through country. Little ones loved the animals. Got to see birds, bears, wolves, moose, cougars, bob cats, ect, with only a few hiding. All within a short condensed park that was easily walkable with little kids. They also had exhibits and concerts, but we were there late in the afternoon, so didn't take advantage of those. Definitely recommend a visit to see the animal in a natural habitat and have the kiddos burn some energy.

We had a crappy day and it started to clear up so we decided to drive up to the zoo. My mom wanted to see a moose. It is a cute zoo only 7 dollars a person to get in. Worth the drive even though it isn't a huge zoo. They have plenty of variety. I am just excited I got to see a moose! Kids will love it :) I loved it and I'm 20. I would return because it is clean and well taken care of.

A wonderful facility for the kids, lots of cool animals and learning. Only a snack shop, no on-site restaurant though, and the gift store closed a little early. Well worth a visit and great value.

Not a lot to see, a smaller park but what is there is tons of fun. Animals are well taken care of, park is well organized and clean. Kids will love the variety of maine animals and the adults will love the price.

The animals at this park are all native to Maine. They can not live in their habitats due to many reasons. They treat them well and give them a natural habitat to live in. The moose were my favorite!

We visited this park as part of a bus trip. We only had an hour and half there. We could have used another hour. We loved seeing the moose family, bears, albino raccoon, deer, fox, pheasant, and many more animals. For 25 cents, you can buy food out of machine and feed some of the animals. The animals were clean and well cared for. The grounds were beautiful. This was the hightlight of our trip.

We were surprised & happy to find out these animals are here due to being injured/abandoned. Go early in the morning if possible. The animals are active waiting to be fed & it is not as hot. I love animals so this was a nice place to visit. It is a little spread out so wear comfortable shoes, but the walk is like a small hike
