What a wonderful park. It is state of the art for camping. It has very nice grills. The facility to clean your dishes and shower is wonderful. It is very family oriented and has an amphitheater. There are two different camping areas. One is longer term and the other is short term. It is on the beautiful Sebago Lake. Breathtaking.

Cute, clean and right off the main road. We met our fishing guide at the state park. My daughter caught her first Salmon and it was a beauty. Made me a little jealous. Playground was basic but nice, port-a-potties were clean and plenty of beach.

This is one of the most beautiful lakes in all of Maine. The water is clear and the grounds are kept clean. The beach is flat and nice and sandy. It is also nice to take a picnic and visit just for a day. There are beautiful wooded trails to walk on and a concession bar is available in season.

This lake is gorgeous and the beach here is lovely. Lots of trails for walking. playground. restrooms. changing rooms. snack bar in season. parking. all good.

Lake Sabago is in the heart of Maine's lake region. There are lovely resorts, cottages, and the famous "Camp Sunshine" for children with life threatening illnesses and their families. The lake is large and irregularly shaped, with shallow water in some smaller inlets and 300' deep water in the deepest section. Fishing and boating are great. You can swim in the lake in the summer, but there is sea weed and rocks so it's best to wear swimming shoes. The lake is surrounded by forest and gives you a feeling of being in the "far north," e.g. Alaska. It's about a 40 minute drive to Portland.

My husband, 3 year old son and I went from 8/30-9/1. Buy campfire wood from the family with a big white sign with lights. They sell ice too (about a mile from the campsites). We bought $20 worth of wood from other people and it didn't burn. We went back out to get wood, and these folks had dry wood in a shed and were open 24 hours with honor system.The site we had was the last one left, so it was next to a main road in the park/camping area. We saw car lights most of the night. The site was clean, but there were SOOOO many wasps, mosquitoes and spiders, it made it really hard for me to enjoy myself at the site. It was a bit crowded since the sites were one next to the other, in close proximity. It was ok, as everyone was quiet by 10am. We went to the beach (Naples) and it was beautiful. The water was freezing, but my boy and I braved it; It was good after a little while.They had a nice playground and the facilities were ok. The did have hot water in the showers. Overall it was a good choice.

We stayed on the lake at a rental for a week and launched our boat at the state park. Super easy (and we are rookies!). Cost $5 to use boat ramp. Worth it.

Camped at walk in sites for three nights. Everyone was quiet at 10 pm except a few rowdy campers in the very packed, very crowded drive in camping area. Very busy park, great washroom facilities, nice beaches. Used it as a hub to visit towns and citied of Maine along the coast. Overall, a very nice park with nice facilities.

We were camping in Maine and decided to go for a beach day to this state park. Separate changing and restrooms. The day turned cold, cloudy and eventually it rained so we did not venture into the lake which looked wonderful. We did notice ducks and wondered about "duck itch" issues. I believe there was a snack bar there. We asked to drive around the camping area and were given a pass to do so along with lots of info about camping in Maine state parks -- very helpful. The camping area had many, many sites and seemed somewhat on the crowded side -- however the on the plus side is the fabulous lake and sandy beach!! I decided to take a little walk, noticing a trail off the beach which was marked. As I went along, however, I found that whatever maps had been posted on boards along the way were missing except for a single one which didn't really give an indication of which way back to the beach. I started to regret my decision to get on this trail and worried about finding my way back to the beach or a pkg area. There were blue markers and at one or two points, yellow markers designated connecting trails -- very confusing. Maybe you can ask for a map?? I guess some of these trails are used for Xcountry skiing. Anyway, after about an hour of walking and "following my nose," I eventually came out to the boat launch area and found my way to the beach. The area for launching a boat appeared to be a nice little lagoon which might be advantageous to a canoe or kayak on a blustery day when the big lake might be a bit much. We would definitely return for a day trip and may consider going there with our travel trailed, though I do not think there are sewer hookups so it might be nicer for a long weekend than for a whole wk or more when we would have to move our travel trailer to visit a dump station.

went for family reunion and found it very nice. will go back for the full vacation. there were lots to do . golf, swimming, lots of food, beach,and lots for kids to do. from the beach to water areas for little tikes. we saw a wedding being performed. and music.

We had a blast swimming and biking. The lake had some good waves and it was a lot of fun. The beach could have been cleaned up better (a lot of large branches etc on the beach). We also biked the outer trail...well marked once we found the trail. Overall fun day in the sun

My wife & I spent the day swimming, hiking and riding our mountain bikes. The water was refreshing with plenty of waves, also the lake has a sandy bottom which makes it even more enjoyable. The hiking was cut short because we didn't have any bug spray so we decided to ride our bikes on the trails, which was lots of fun, and the trails were marked fairly well.

My family and I reserved Shelter F in the Pine Grove picnic area for a large gathering - 50+ people - at the end of June. It was/is a terrific venue - one of six dedicated group picnic areas in the Pine Grove section of the park. For us, it was an almost perfect location for a family picnic and get-together. Included in the $100 day rate: a pavilion with a sink, electrical outlets, running hot/cold water and two picnic tables under the roof; two smaller covered areas with a large picnic table under each roof; 5-6 additional picnic tables in front of those three structures; a double charcoal grill. There was plenty of space for 50+ - and more. A line of 20 clean bathroom/changing rooms stands just 30 yards away - with an outdoor shower. There is ample parking - just for the Pine Grove area. A small sandy beach sits about 75 yards away - and the sandbar is a short walk through knee-deep water. There is a childrens' playground and an open activity field adjacent to the Pine Grove area. Sebago Lake State Park also charges per person fees to enter the park - varying according to age and resident status.The Park staff (Thanks, Donna!) were very helpful - providing descriptions of the Pine Grove, answering a lot of questions and in making the necessary arrangements. Park staff also keep the Pine Grove spotlessly clean - and expect guests to do the same.This is a really, really nice facility. It easily merits the top rating. The grillmasters for this event did have one quibble. Neither of the grates on the double grill could be inserted into the slots intended to keep them level. It's time for a replacement!

To start off with the campground: It is extremely crowded and the campsites vary small. But fairly well kept and has a decent shower room, Bathroom, And a small beach that is maintained. there is also a good sized playground fore kids and a beach volleyball net.As fore the Staff: First off. I want to say that I have been to campgrounds ware other campers ruined our experience with late night partying and over drinking and making it a dangerous place fore the other vacationers. So I understand why staff members sometimes need to be firm to maintain a camp sight. However, The Staff at Sebago made it feel more like we were in a prison camp rather then a vacation spot. They were vary rude and micro manged everything. I cant really say I had a moment ware I enjoyed having them around. But there are a few experiences I want to personally share First off: One of the staff members gave my friend a hard time because his boat wasn't close enough to our sight. So he moved it. Then another staff member told him he needed to move it to the boat trailer sight....Which would have been fine. But it would have been nice to know we had to movie it there the first time. Lol! Also, Had they been nicer about it. It would have been such a big deal.2nd:Quiet time is at 10:00. Me and a few other friends at other campsites met. We were siting around the campfire. We were laughing and having a good time without being to over the top as there were family's in our group. However, We got yelled at 10:01 because it was quiet time and we were being to loud. We didn't challenge her and whispered for the rest of the night. The next morning the same lady came again and gave us a hard time and warned us not to repeat last night s experience! After night fell. Our group met at the same place again. This time keeping our voices down. Everything went fine. Until 3 staff members arrived at our campsite and told us that they didn't like us congregating past 10:00 and asked us to leave and go to our tents. At this point I was boiling! But I grudgingly returned to my tent and called it a night as I was leaving the next day.There were also a number of problems we had with the staff. But though were the only experiences I wanted to share. All I can add is that they were really young and didn't seem properly trained. And this may mean that things will get better over timeOverall I had a good time with good friends in spite of the campsite. And I would have given it an Average review had the staff not been so rude to us the inter trip. However, because of the experience we had with them. I'm going to give this place a terrible rating. And unless things change. I would strongly recommend avoiding this Sebago Lake State park and spending yore time and money elsewhere.

The facilitys are good but they allow wild ducks to swim in the swimming area. They caused my family to get duck itch. It causes redness and itches. Otherwise the place is nice
