I went for a lunch and was served a hamburger patty that tasted old , the lettuce was wilted and the tomato soggy. never again. We had to eat in the bar as the dinning area was no longer open. This was in the month of May.

The bunkers were filled with rocks...not pebbles...rocks. The play was so slow that I thought I might have arrived in purgatory or some place where one is forced to contemplate what they did wrong to deserve this. This is the worst Jack Nicklaus course I have ever played, and I think it should be disowned from the brand...Just everything you don't want out of golf experience.Never again...never again!

Played 5/3 Sat. Course was in horrible condition. Greens were ok, little slow. Fairways were beat up and 2-3 ponds are dried out and some bunkers were hard. They didn't really take care if the rough area either. Many dead grass areas and trees were cut off. I used to love this course 3-5 years ago. The course used to have a beautiful layouts with great condition and great scenery BUT in last two years, the course condition has been horrible!! It's like playing in a municipal golf course. I will not go back. Very disappointed. Restaurant does not open until 11am so no decent food in the morning!! Also, no free range balls!!

Overpriced and horribly slow. A tight condo type course. Basically, a florida condo course w/o water, a bunch of hills, and a lot of blind shots. I have to admit that I only saw the front nine because after 3.5 hours we called it quits. When I spoke to the manager he said" that is our normal playing time here". I asked him if he thought he should stagger the tee times better he said " no, that is the way we do it" I am a 6 handicap, and trust me you will not see me here again. I only mention the handicap so you know I wasn't slow on my own behalf

I played this course for the first time on September 4th and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Service/reception: Excellent. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere is very low key...small pro shop, no attitude, helpful and welcoming. I arrived as a single and they were fine letting me play on my own or trying to pair me up with someone else...my choice.Course layout: The routing of the holes is very good and takes advantage of the terrain to make it part of the challenge. There are a a couple of blind carries, some elevated tees with nice views, and nice mounding along the fairways to help keep the ball in play. Almost every green can be played as a run-up shot if you leave your approach in the right place...or you can challenge the pins over bunkers and hazards.Condition: Overall, excellent. The greens had been aerated relatively recently and there was still a little evidence of that, but they putted very nicely nonetheless. The fairway turf is very nice and made hitting crisp iron shots a pleasure. Bunkers have nice sand (although one I found myself in was pretty crusty).Odds & Ends: This is cart golf, but it was 90 degrees to the ball and not a problem. Because of the distance between some holes it is not a practical walking course. And the carts are quiet and have excellent speed! The halfway house is actually at the 11th hole, but it was quick to get a bite and the hot dog was grilled, not steamed.Value: I paid $79 for a mid-week round and found that to be a fair price for what I got. I'll certainly play it again.

Played here afternoon 7/31/13, midweek and play was still very slow, can usually move quickly through front nine, but back gets very slow. The course is a nice layout and usually in good shape. Greens were very dry and firm. Fairways were in good shape. I feel the course is not worth the premium price they ask on Fridays and weekends. The halfway house closes early sometimes and there are times the water coolers are not refilled in the late afternoon. I would play the course more often if the pace of play would improve, possibly the 8 minute tee time intervals need to be revised to 10 minutes.

I love everything about this majestic place. It is serene and peaceful. I thought the prices were very fair! The mansion is stunning and the staff was friendly and helpful.

We made a deposit for a sweet sixteen in Feb. 2013. We never signed a contract. We had to cancel the event. I notified Mansion Ridge about two weeks after we booked. Plenty of notice. Adam the event manager said we we should get our deposit 4 weeks Well that was in March and still no refund. I then contacted the General Manager Kevin and he said that they'll look into it. Last week I sent Kevin an email to check the status and he said that he will get back to be later that day. Well 5 days later I'm still waiting. I DO NOT recommend Mansion Ridge for nothing. You can find a much better golf course. I wouldn't play there for Free.

Played here mid-week in April 2013. At $69 it was a premium to West Point and Falkirk. No discount on Golf Now. Place was empty but we still got stuck behind a slow group. We played a couple of holes twice to kill time until a group caught up with us. Starter went by a couple of times - no help. We eventually played through and were OK. The course is long.Pro shop wasn't sure grill would be opened when we started at 11. When we finished it turned out the grill was opened We went in for a beer and a sandwich. There were 3 guys drinking beer who said the bartender was in the kitchen cooking their food. We waited... and waited. The kitchen can't see into the bar and after 15 minutes we left. Maybe one of the guys had ordered a cake?Slow play, a pro shop that doesn't even know if the grill will be open, useless rangers and a missing bar tender will not bring me back.

Challenging course that is maintained in average condition but way over priced for market and conditions.

This mansion is breathtaking. The food is not quite what it should be for a place such as this but it is good. I like the way they present the food. It is a nice touch. The service is so so. The service gets one star. The waitress was spraying windex on the table next to us and that is a no no in my book.

If your paying the full weekend rate of over 100 USD, it's just not worth it. Location on top of a mountain makes for very unpredictable weather conditions. Course is generally in very good shape, with some interesting and challenging holes. Play during the week, and use the off rate discounts, great buy at 40 USD with cart.

I can't rate the golf, but I can rate the food which was very poor. We were here for a wedding. The appetizers were all frozen then deep fried items. The prime rib was too tough to chew. The caprese salad was very nice.

Played golf for the first time at Mansion Ridge on Aug. 28, 2010. Originally scheduled to play Centennial Golf Club but received a warning via e-mail that the greens were recently aerated. The Mansion Ridge Experience• Cart path only. Had to carry 3 clubs up and down hills to each shot • Plugged golf balls – lost appx. 10 balls – appx 5 were in the fairways.• Very poor yardage markings.• Aerated greens – any putt within 1 club length of the hole was good.• Expressed dissatisfaction with these conditions and the fact that no notice was given concerning same – to the pro shop. Given a pass for $45 each for any Monday thru Thursday (useless to us) – should have been given a refund of the $130 each ($270 total).• Group behind us expressed anger at the conditions and also complained to the pro shop

Great layout, awful service. Do they even have a manager there?
