We came here this past August because we happened to be in the area that day...it was a Friday afternoon. We were so happy we did and will be back again! The crops are very well labeled and not a far walk between each. Lots to fruits and veggies to choose from and the quality was perfect! We picked apples, string beans, zucchini, peaches and eggplant. You can even pick wildflowers. The flowers were gorgeous! They give you a wagon, cute mesh bags (see my photos), boxes, crates, to fill as you pick. They also have a lovely general store with fresh homemade cakes, pies, cookies, etc. made on the premises. I bought their blueberry cake and it was heavenly! You can sit at cozy tables and eat. They have a cool play area for the kids with huge wooden climbing structures. I want to comeback next time on the weekend because that's when they serve fresh made cider doughnuts and other foods. They also have fun activities such as doughnut eating contests. Its a small quaint place with very friendly staff.I'm adding my photos.

A pleasant place to go and pick apples and other crops at your own pace. It's a family run business and you can tell...they truly enjoy what they do and are not all about the $$! All the staff are helpful and friendly! Wonderful treats and food are offered here. The newly opened wine tasting venue is really nice. A great place to pick up Hudson Valley home grown items!

Weed Farm has the best variety of fruits and vegetables to pick I have encountered. We picked apples(several kinds), grapes(3 types),string beans(largest),egg plant, peppers(sweet & hot),tomatoes(several kinds),and strawberries(sweetest). Several other items we didn't get to. The taste and quality surpass any I have bought in any retail store! Hay rides around the farm, live music, fabulous baked goods and spreads available for sale, including free tasting, as well as wine and hard cider available, including free tastings! Nice staff and amazing environment for adults and adults with children alike! Check their website for special weekend events. No Admission Fee. Best Farm visit yet! Highly Recommended!

Our family tradition to celebrate the fall in NY is to go for apple picking. We have lived in NYC for 25 years, been to places for apple picking. By far, Weed Orchards is the best place, most importantly they have "real restrooms", not just those portable ones. We have been coming here for couple years now. It's about 1 hr and 40 min from NYC, but it's worth the drive. We're just there on Sunday 9/28/14. Although not many apples that were ready to pick yet, but tomatoes, eggplant, pumpkins, grapes, and flowers were plenty to be picked. They serve foods and deserts. Cider donuts are the "must have"! We bought dozens to bring home as well. Hay ride is free. Wear comfortable clothes, light is good; carry a light sweater just in case. Since few hours out in the sun, a hat is very recommended! Also, from experience we froze half of a big bottle of water the night before and next day just add the half with water. It would make a difference when you are exposed in the sun through the farm for couple of hours. The owners are very nice and friendly. It's a great place for kids and family!

My family and I have lived in the Hudson Valley for ten years, and this is the best apple orchard wehave ever visited. We went the weekend of September 27. It was packed with people, yet you didn't feel cramped. There was a nice live band playing and plenty of good food available to purchase. The apple cider donuts are served warm and are absolutely delicious. There is a long line for them and it is well worth the wait. The orchard itself is huge. There are plenty of apple trees to pick from. There are also vegetables, grapes, and plenty of pumpkins. There is a nice park for the kids to play in and you can take a free hay ride. As we picked our fruits and vegetables, we enjoyed taking in the beautiful scenery. The leaves were just beginning to turn and the orchard is surrounded by mountains. It was so peaceful and relaxing. Now is a great time to visit and enjoy the fall foliage. We enjoyed ourselves so much, we are thinking about squeezing in one more visit before the season is finished. I highly recommend this orchard. The owner is very friendly and maintains a beautiful property.

First time at this orchard. Well worth the drive. Lots of apples. Very family friendly. Next time I will have to try the wine and hard cider. Will be back again. New favorite orchard.

What a lovely place to visit in the country about 80 miles outside of NYC. This working farm has an apple orchard filled with a ton of apple trees in many varieties for you to pick. You can also pick tomatoes, eggplant, squash, pumpkins and flowers. They serve food and the BEST apple spice donuts that I ate 3. You can also bring your lunch and have a picnic in the designated area. There are chickens and goats. When you arrive they give you a little red wagon with a few bags but be careful - apples add up when you have so many to pick! I think we would up with 20 pounds. The owners are lovely and will accommodate your needs. But please....if you go...respect that this is their living and don't pick the apples and vegetables unless you are going to buy them. I saw too many people pick an apple, take a bit and throw it on the ground.

I haven't been to many farms in New York, but this one is by far the best one. The area is beautiful and you immediately feel the peacefulness of the place. It is beautifully manicured and well cared for. Weeds farm offers a mixture of fruits, vegetable and even flowers. Most items are within walking distance. They have an wide assortment of both fruits and vegetable. The peaches and nectarines were amazing sweet. The prices are a little high, but is well worth the price for the visit. They even have an area for the kids to play and tables and chairs to sit and eat. There is a small restaurant (sort of) to buy hot dogs, fries, chicken tenders and even fried orea and ice cream. It was not bad and the prices were reasonable. I was also very surprised with the clean bathroom facilities. I would definitely go back.

Wanted to go apple picking with my fiance and saw an ad in the newspaper for Weed Orchard. Decided to give it a try - SO glad I did. In addition to getting to go apple picking Weed Orchard has a wide variety of other fruits and vegetables to pick. We ended up going home with a huge bag full of grapes (that are so good and I wish I got more), all types of peppers, eggplant, green beans, corn, and tomatoes. We had just missed the peaches and zuchinni but now I know when to go next year. They even have flower you can pick. The prices were great. We had a nice relaxing couple of hours just enjoying each others company. The owner ( I believe) was going around and would ask people if they need help. He showed me where to find the veggies I wanted and even tasted the peppers to make sure I wasnt getting anything too spicy! In addtion to all the great fruits and vegetables they also have a corn maze, a hay ride, a bouncy house for the kids, pumpkins and goats! You can rent a wagon to carry everything for $5 which you get back when you return the wagon. They sold fresh jams, honey, salsas, and cider. THey also serve hot food include DELICIOUS apple cider donuts...so good an worth the visit by themselves. The place was neat and clean (even the bathrooms) and the workers were very helpful. The views were gorgeous and peaceful. Well worth the 1 1/2 hr ride up to NY. WIll definately be going back, probably in AUgust next year to get more fruit.

What a wonderful day my family and I had today! It was our first visit and we traveled just over an hour to get there. Parking was easy and convenient. Dozens of wagons were available for hauling your pickings and even my 1 year old! The wagons were fitted with a seat and seat belt! Genius! An adorable train and lil western village was just perfect for the kids to play on as well as the pirate ship! The kids had so much fun and we hadn't even started picking yet! We picked the most delicious peaches, vegetables and even flowers from beautiful gardens to make your own bouquets! Lunch was yummy and staff was very nice! We will definitely be going back next year! I highly recommend spending the day at Weed Orchards!

Weeds Farm is family operated. This is a great place to bring the family on weekends in Sept & October. It is much more than simply picking apples. They have a large variety of fruits & vegetables. There are games & arts & crafts for the kids. Tasty cider doughnuts too! If going through Marlboro over a fall weekend, stop by.

I almost don't want to write this review because I want to keep this place my little secret! However, it's such a fabulous place that I couldn't resist. Went here during Columbus day weekend and it was amazing. Parking was trouble free and unlike so many other orchards, there was NO admission fee. You simply went up, grabbed a FREE wagon and some bags and went down a short way to the orchards. There were tons of apple trees, clearly labeled by type with signs telling you if they were ready for picking or not. They even gave you a free scoop stick if you want to try for the apples on the higher branches. In addition to apples (which were huge), they had grapes, eggplant, peppers, tomatoes, cabbage and pumpkins that were available for picking. There was cute little corn maze ($3) that the kids enjoyed. Hayrides were available but because we had the wagon (and we filled it up), we opted not to take the hayride. There was a tiny petting zoo, a playground, a store with homemade baked goods and honey, a little place where you could order a hot meal and a hut with piping hot apple cider donuts (addictive). A huge bag of apples (or pears as they were available as well) cost $22. Pumpkins were $.40/pound. However, you could also forego the bag and just buy apples by the pound. Other people didn't even go for apples but went for everything else!We had a great time picking fruits and vegetables - the orchards were huge and although it was crowded, it didn't feel like it because there was so much room to spread out. In addition, they had a ton of activities - hula hoop contests, giveaways, apple batting etc. All the above plus the beautiful scenery made this our new go-to place for apple picking.

Beautiful day picking apples and vegetables. Picnic tables, beautiful views and the very best apple cider donuts I have ever had.
