We enjoyed our day at Titus. The employees handling the rental equipment were great and the equipment was in very good condition. The lodge was a madhouse and finding seating took about 30 minutes, wait staff was pleasant and efficient as were bartenders. We are relatively new to skiing but did not opt for lessons, we just chose to use skills from previous lessons and have a relaxed day. I will say that one of the lift attendants was pretty rude to one of the more novice and nervous skiiers in our party. He barked at her to be ready and there was no time to wait etc this happened on several trips on the lift, thankfully she has a thick skin and didn't let him ruin what was a beautiful winter day! The walkways and stairs were a bit icy (I will never understand why ski areas put so many steep steps in and expect guests to navigate them in ski boots!) but otherwise the facilities were ok, nothing too fancy!

Good Morning KingstonSporty,Thank you for taking the time to post an honest review from a guest's perspective. Obviously the first thing that I would like to do is apologize for your experience at the mountain. That is without a doubt first and foremost as we pride ourselves on customer service no matter the issue. In fact, this has already been elevated to the owners' attention and he would like to call you, at your convenience, to personally rectify the situation. Please contact us with the best way to reach you and when.I can only offer my insight in hopes of enlightening you to the situation as well as showing my understanding. The event is a culmination of the University Outing Club's Winter Festival where the number one goal is to promote outdoor activity as well as environmental awareness. Each year the main clientele from the university are those who want to show their love of skiing and those who want to try out skiing and, we hope, fall in love with the sport. That doesn't mean, however, that there isn't a second clientele that comes for the "party." Unfortunately it seems, like all things, the squeaky wheel gets the oil and the partiers overshadowed the point of the day; for this I personally apologize as not only the sales director here at Titus, but as a graduate of the same university that had their event at the mountain. It is true; this is one of the biggest group events that Titus has and we are motivated to get more people on the mountain enjoying the sport. Each year we learn more from the group and each year the university works with us to dial down the "party" and promote the basic premise of the event: to enjoy skiing. And while we agree the kids could be obnoxious to guests, there was no fights, no injuries, and overall the university is a good group of kids.As a mountain, we will always endeavor to make the experience at our mountain a good one whether it is for a family or a college student learning to ski for the first time. We are taking your concerns in this review seriously and will be working in-house to make sure that the issues our guests experience don't happen twice. Communication between ourselves (rectifying your situation when it was first brought to our attention) and with our customers (awareness of the event going on that day) will be discussed so a concern such as yours doesn't elevate into a bad experience.Once again, thank you for trying out our mountain and letting us know your thoughts and concerns. We also want to thank you for seeing, behind the chaos of the day, that we have a great mountain here that we strive to make better day after day. Here's to skiing,Brittany

Hi Lyn!Thanks for your review. Short and sweet and to the point but you've hit the nail on the head for what is important to us! Being friendly to guests, both seasoned and new to snow, is our number one priority. Offering a complex that is enjoyable and worthy of repeat trips is right up there as well! Can't wait to see you again next year!

Hello,First and foremost we want to thank you for being a season pass holder at Titus--support from local people allows Titus to expand and grow as you've stated in your review. We're glad that you find our services, expansions, and mountain in general a great place for your family. We will continue to create new opportunities on the hill as support continues. As far as some of your points of constructive criticism, it is well received. Firstly, we have been looking at expanding the buildings that we have on the mountain to include a lounge area--specifically for those looking to watch their kids have lessons, bring lunches, etc. So we're already on track for that! I have also passed the review on to the owners and I can assure you that this was never an intention to have people moved for their benefit.Additionally, end of season is not where we would like to be stingy on mountain activity, but unfortunately that is the nature of the beast in being a seasonal business. We have some summer activities and events on the horizon, which we hope will help the end-of-ski-season issue.Lastly, as far as season passes go, this year Titus decided to expand even more into the 21st century and sell their season passes online--with that comes a steep learning curve and we are certainly learning from experience! We had no intention of false advertising (there was print stating that this pass was "different" but we agree that it might be hard to find). And we are looking into a more streamlined process so that nobody feels as though they aren't getting what they want when they purchase.Once again, I would like to reiterate our thanks for your local support and we hope that you will continue to do so and see that our intentions of continuing to expand the mountain come to fruition.

Hi Shannon,Thanks for so many things, supporting our mountain both before and as a season pass holder as well as taking time to post a review on us.We're glad that you enjoy our lodges and dining options as we continually try to improve them to make sure everyone has a fantastic experience. We are also continually coming up with new ski school programs and reviews like yours help us make sure we hit the areas we are supposed to.As far as the pole at the end of Chair VIII, we definitely want to make sure we don't make things difficult for people. One of our owners went up the other day to check it out--we just want to make sure that we're looking in the right area. Please contact us directly to explain to us the area and we will try and alleviate the problem.Once again, thanks on many levels. Looking forward to seeing you on the mountain soon!
